Lights And Ice

Continuing on from my last post at Buttermilk waterfalls in Stoney Creek Ontario, is this second shoot there. Knowing the ice formations were going to be short lived because of rising temperatures, a friend and I decided to hike there at night. To play with some light painting.

When we arrived at the waterfall it was clearly visible that the ice had melted quite a bit since earlier in the day ( Day time shoot: https://hive.blog/hive-194913/@terrywayne/playing-in-the-ice). So we quickly got our lights out and started to shoot! We only got an hour of shooting in before large pieces of ice started to fall, making it unsafe. Thankfully I walked away with some beautiful shots!

These are awesome! I love how the reflections end up looking like the Aurora Borealis.
