taking a stroll on the Cove walk, back when it was warmer

Good news on our daughter-in-law, yesterday she was a lot better coherent and they allowed her to start a liquid diet. so that made her and all of us very happy, she is of course frustrated that she will be stuck in hospitla for Christmas, but better she takes her time to recover and follows doctors orders

NO Wednesday wlak post for me today as I messed up and shared that yesterday

Good Morning, wow this year has flown by, Christmas Eve already, and although these photos may not be Christmasy, as it is Christmas Eve here when I share this, and in some parts of the world already or coming up to Christmas, May I take this moment to wish you all a very merry Christmas

Its chilly here as I right this, we got about 3 inches of snow yesterday and the temps have dropped as I type this the real feel is about -2F which I believe is almost -20C, and i'm glad I dont need to head out anywhere this morning, I do feel for those that work outdoors in this weather, such as POstal delivery people, police and ohh so many others.
also when it's this cold I pray for the homeless that they have found somewhere warm to shelter, I know the city opens heated shelters, but also now some are not willing to go to such places for a variety of reasons and it must be so dangerous sleeping outside in these conditions.
I know some find shelter in the city car park in the city centre, especially in the closed off area by the elevators I have seen them there at times.

For todays post I am sharing some shots from a walk on the Cove walk on top of a portion of the hurricane barrier wall here in New Bedford.

There are two portions of the Hurricane barrier wall, both with walkways built on top of portions of them, the harbor one, which I do regularly take a stroll on when out for morning walks, and the Core walk, which I will focus on today.

The reason I do not visit it so much althought it's a nice spot for walking and a good length almost one mile I believe from one end to the other, its not such a nice spot for catching the sunrise colors.

The time I took these shots, was after i had been for a walk on East Beach at sunrise, was back when the days where long and was still early after the sun had risen and as I was driving home i decided to stop and take a stroll on the Cove walk way

Where i parked was in a little parkign spot about midway on the walk, here is a shot looking one way from near that spot
