Fun Friday Shots at the port from a recent walk

Shots at the port from a recent walk

Just have to get through today and the weekend will be here, I hope your week has gone well.

Now you may know I generally have a week of posts prepared in advance, but I am changing the order a bit to slip in a post from a recent walk, and may do that on odd days till I am posting all new shots which I hope I will be gettign out a lot more over the next few months :)

I'm calling this a fun friday post, as getting out for early morning walks recently has been fun indeed. I have taken a bunch of shots but as at when I am preparing this post, i have three days of morning walks in and have only had time to edit these few shots I am sharing today.
IT must be fun as even my wife is saying my mood has picked up a lot since I started getting out for walks again

These are all shots from the first morning walk i got out on, at the port, it was a fairly moody morning and no colors to speak of at sunrise, but still was great to be out and about and I got a few good shots

Let me start with this one focusing mostly on the ship in the foreground the Pasion de Cristo

When I say not much morning colors, I mean the warm glows of a nice sunrise, but there was some lovely blues in the sky and water and I do love the blues

this workign boat sure has bene worn down by the harsh conditions

Probably the view I have shared most photos of at the port, for a couple of reasons its right near when I park and walk by it first and then again at the end of the walk, and do love this view, especially with these gorgeous blues

Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

I have no doubt that your mood is linked to walks; there's nothing better than getting out of the house and spending pleasant moments taking photographs.

Excellent shots.

The stillness of the sky and the water is breathtaking. I suppose scheduling weekly posts in advance is part of living a structured life. I always struggle to adapt this to my own routine.

That is nice you were able to get out early again. I must feel great to have the temps up high enough that you finally can!

I love the blues in the second and fourth pictures, then again I love the morning blue. Nothing quite like it! It's odd how some mornings the sunrises just offer no colors when there are just too many clouds, but it still has it's own beauty!

Looks like those are all big fishing vessels, talk about a rough living... Lots of hard labor and absolutely no guarantee you'll find the fish that day. I would not have made a good professional fisherman like that, just too much risk and very, very expensive! But I'm sure the guys who do it wouldn't ever want to do anything else, it's way of life!

Have a great weekend, and I hope the weather holds up for you!

What I love about your posts is how a simple walk turns into a quiet visual story… like the port itself is whispering little moments to your lens 📸✨
There’s something really special in the way you capture light and atmosphere, it doesn’t feel staged at all, just honest slices of time drifting by. You can almost feel the calm of the place, like standing there watching the water breathe.
“Fun Friday” fits perfectly, because this kind of photography reminds you that joy doesn’t always shout… sometimes it just reflects softly on the surface 🌊
Thanks for sharing another beautiful walk, it’s always a pleasure to tag along through your perspective!
