Friday some photos from a walk in the Historic District
some photos from a walk in the Historic District
Good morning, and have a good day. The weekend is almost upon us. Have a good one
Today I will share a few shots from a walk around the historic district here in New Bedford, I often edit many of these shots in B&W but went for color with most of these ones
This is on Acushnet Ave by the corner with Dover Street, you know I love the Belgian blocks on the street even though I think of them as cobblestones.
As a side note, on a walk the other day, I noticed a couple of streets closed off for road work, and a few pallets of Belgian blocks at the edge of the work site So I am guessing the city is either installing more of them or repairing some already there.
This first photo I am on Acushnet Avenue, and the side street is Dover Street, so much character in this area, apprently the building with the flag used to be a Restaurantscalled MKs way back inthe day, and was very popular at the time.

This is looking along Dover street, the old style lamps also add to the character and historic feel of this area.

And I think for this next one I am looking down Center Street the port is in the distance in the background

Man you capture those colours like nobody else! I love the historic cobblestone in that neat town as well.
Sometimes I wish this old town was beside the ocean instead of a little river. Love the historic buildings so much.
Thanks, looks so charming there,
These are beautiful photographs. The historic district has so much charm, and your colorful edits really bring out the character of the streets, old buildings, and classic lamps. I also enjoyed the black-and-white photo with the subtle blue tint,it gives the scene a timeless atmosphere. Thank you for sharing another wonderful photo walk.
