Friday some light painting shots

some light painting shots

I for a while was doing fun friday posts, of light painting and some of the LUmibrick sets I was building, but I have had a break from building the sets with the nicer weather, and do to running out of space to display them, but I do have a plan to make more space at some stage.

and as for the light painting, as you know I didn't get out for photo walks over winter as it was to cold for me, and now that the weather has turned and we have had some nice days over the last week I have been able to get out for early morning walks about 5 times in the last week, which has been great :).

However with the sunrise currently being at around 5:20 AM and the blue hour starting about 4:26, and the best time for me to do light painting is before the blue hour starts, or at least while it's still pretty dark and even though I am an early riser getting up by 4AM most days, I just haven't gotten out early enough to do some light painting.

This morning I thought I might be able to, so I loaded my light painting up in the car and headed out at about 3:45 AM.

but the light came early this morning and it wasnt really dark enough to do light painting, I propbably could have tried doing one, but thought its not worth setting them all up just to maybe do one, and besides it was so nice out and even that early there was some nice colors coming up in the sky, so I instead enjoyed the fresh air and walked catching some sunrise shots, which was quite nice so not complaining at all.

So that long winded intro is to say why I decided to share some from last year which I have edited but not shared yet

Starting with this one taken on Pope's Island, with the marina in the background

It's crazy how early the sun has been coming up. I guess I should be used to it by now, but it still just blows me away. Such a huge contrast from coming to work in the dark!

Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

You're a really early riser; what you do to achieve that lighting effect is admirable.

Beautiful photos.

Good afternoon, Mr. @tattoodjay

It's true, the sets you created were very beautiful; I hope to find a new space for them soon.

The lighting in your photographs is gorgeous.
