a walk in the Historic District of New Bedford MA

Good Morning have a great day

Today I will share a few shots of a walk I took in the Historic District here in New Bedgford, also known as he whaling city due to New Bedford History and being a big whaling port back inthe day, at its peak it was one of the richest ities inthe world.

Its still a big fishing city but far from the richest city in the world these days, I love the city and all the beauty with beaches parks and such, but many here seem to spend all their time putting the city down especially in online settings.

I guess it may be I have always bene a glass half full person ie with positive attitude and see the best in places and people, I used to think that was perhaps a bad thing and perhaps I need to be more realistic, and to be honest it did get me into some risky somewhat dangerous situations when I travelled a lot, and wherever i went i would go walk about trying to ind the beauty even in warn torn or what dangerous places, and luckily i survived my adventures back then.

Today I am a bit more cautious where i walk, some spots I wont walk early morning here as they can be shady, and if I go to a spot and just get a bad feeling I will head somewhere else, b ut most of the places I go for walks I find very safe.

OK enough of a rambling intro onto this walk and the photos

I parked by the port and crossed thr road passign the rose Alley Restaurant

That ale house is pretty awesome. I reminds me of a building near where I work that they run the local newspaper out of. It's just so tiny you can hardly imagine a full business being run out of there.

You're right to be careful where you walk, especially at this time of day.

I love these well-lit photos; the place you visited looks beautiful.

What beautiful shots, Mr. @tattoodjay

Man those shots always look like a movie set or video game world with the perfect light and no people! There is something special and old about cobblestones that seem to bring you back when looking at the buildings.

I am not much of a morning person so I enjoy the early morning sky as if I dragged my ass out of bed for a walk while on vacation.

Good timing on those pictures. Great contrast between dusk and lights on the buildings.

Reminds me of my childhood
In the village we had a main street made of cobblestones.
From the neighboring village to ours it was about 5 km in cobblestones.
It's a shame they didn't leave at least one in the village as part of the walking path.
I think it would have a real effect during the village festival when almost a kilometer and a half of the street is busy with walkers and stalls.
Great pictures

Nice walk, wonderful photos. What time was it on the clock? The streets are deserted, and no one interferes with the photography. It looks like something out of a movie story.
