Tuesday morning foggie forrest walk

This morning I had to drive the wife to a symposium for her work , and I used the oppertunity to visist a nearby forrest to see if there were any mushrooms .

So i parked my car here : https://maps.app.goo.gl/vNUzz8E27NdxdDaH8

And started walking in the forrest .

Today i brought with me the Sony A7IV camera and the LAOWA 15 mm FF F4.5 Macro 1:2 lens

And my Godox V1s Flash light and the Godox M1 LED light .

Since i made +/- 40 photos good enough for posting , i decided too create 2 posts , one today the other one tomorrow .

So after i parked the car the first thing i spotted on a tree trunk was these tiny mushrooms .

1 ) The light condition wasn't ideal in the forrest due to the fog , but we came prepared with flashlight .

2 ) Coprinellus micaceus / glistening inky cap on a tree trunk

3 )

4 )

5 ) Pleurotus ostreatus / grey oyster mushroom on same dead tree

6 )Oudemansiella mucida / porcelain fungus probably named that way because just like porcelain the light shines through .

7 ) porcelain fungus

8 ) porcelain fungus

9 ) porcelain fungus

10 ) so that was a good start at the parking lot , let's see what more the forrest has for us today .

11 ) the path in to the forrest still a lot of fog between the trees

12 ) It almost looks like some kind of enchanted forrest

13 ) Pleurotus family growing on a dead beech tree

14 )

15 )Armillaria mellea / honey fungus

16 ) Oligoporus family on a dead beech trunk

17 ) a tiny mushroom on a dead tree next to it a small beech seedling growing with a little spider web.

18 ) Pluteus cervinus / deer mushroom

19 )

20 ) Abeech leaf on top of fungi Cladonia chlorophaea in Dutch we call it bekertjes mos

ok because it's going to be my last post this month , i will post all photos of this morning :)

21 ) Cladonia chlorophaea

22 ) Armillaria mellea / honey fungus

23 ) Armillaria mellea / honey fungus

24 ) to far gone to identify ...

25 ) and more of the Oudemansiella mucida / porcelain fungus , this one was easier to lit up with the flash light

26 )

27 ) from a different angle it looks very differend , but it's still the same Oudemansiella mucida / porcelain fungus

28 ) Another dead tree completly coverd in Moss and invaded by a mushroom family

29 )

30 ) I couldn't identify this mushroom not even with the help of almight y Google .

31 )A small beech tree growing on a dead tree next to a vern and flowering moss .

32 ) Imleria badia / bay bolete

33 )

34 )

35 ) now what could this be ?

36 ) not termites we don't have those here

37 ) probably some bugs eating the dead tree

38 ) and still the fog between the trees

39 )One more mushroom scenery the last one for this month 😎

a little behind the scene shot at last , my Godox M1 lighting up the mushroom underneath , as used in photo 33 and 34 , it was just that dark in the forrest that you needed the extra light.

40 )

Wow, a whole lot of mushrooms, it's my first time seeing so many different types and they look beautiful. Though, I know some can be poisonous, so caution is needed. Thanks for sharing these beautiful mushrooms. I love the shot.

I hope @ewkaw, who runs the Fungi Friday community will see these magnificent photos! I like how you numbered the photos, which makes it easier to talk about a specific shot. Number 25 is my absolute favorite, the one you shared in TheTerminal on Discord! I thought that was a nighttime shot, not in a fog with the mushroom illuminated by a flashlight! Very creative and clever the way you did that! The shot is splendid and the detail is superb! The spot in the upper-left resembles a crescent moon, although now I know it's just a break in the leaves on a tree; but, still magical and woderful! "Kudos!" for all these great shots!

Thank you !

Nr 25 was indeed the photo i shared on Discord , i always try to play with the lights in a way that it still looks natural , that way i hardly need to edit anything when i get home.

Most of these photos i didn't edit just converted raw to jpg.

That under light with the Godox M1 on the porcelain fungus is the show stealer, it really brings out that glassy look and the gills glow,, especially in shots 33 and 34. Your right the fog acted like free diffusion and saved you from harsh reflections, my accountant brain calls that budget softbox :) Also, parking lot finds turning into a full for;est set made me smile, sometimes the first stop pays off big.

thank you for your kind words , that wasn't underlight i used on the porcelain fungus , but flash light from above hense the shadow of the mushroom .

It feels like a mushroom party bidding farewell to September… all of them utterly charming! And the freshness of the forest is palpable.

These are fluffing awesome!
So much fog though, the flashlight was a masterstroke, I kept expecting to see little fairies popping out from behind a mushroom!

no fairies , but indeed flashlight can help you a lot if there is not enough light , you just need to make sure that you don't over expose the photo .

yeah it's small in and compact also very usefull if you are painting the house in white , the extra light helps you to see if you missed a spot .

Oh my gosh 😍🫣📸, what beautiful pictures of mushrooms @stresskiller, they're magnificent, I loved them all. Here in my country, Cuba 🇨🇺, even though I've visited many places and forests, it's super difficult for me to find specimens like these.

This post is a must, I'm reblogging it to my profile and saving the pictures to my gallery 😁👏. Spectacular!!!

I loved this image, I had never seen these types before, bro. Greetings and happy Thursday!! 😊🤗🙏🏻

Exactly, like I said, I have found some, but only when it rains a lot. I take advantage of it and go out looking for mushrooms lol.

Dit deel is heel droog. In de bergen wat meer groen en vochtiger. Snel maar eens die kant op.
