This Morning's Downtown Truckee Sunrise

Well, today has been a great day so far. The sunrise was incredible! I was about to attend a BNI business networking meeting in Downtown Truckee, so I did not get any new landscape photos with the sunrise. However, I did get this nice shot outside of the meeting, with my friend Martin of MVB Coaching checking it out on his way into the meeting.

After the meeting, I headed home but I had to pull over real quick at Donner Lake. The morning fog was looking very peaceful and photogenic, so I did get a nice new landscape photo of that scene. Shot with the Canon 5DS R, that one will be available on my website soon.

Oh, and I also received this gift in my mailbox. A book written by a childhood friend! Actually, our moms were best friends when they were young and our families occasionally got together when I was young. Some of you may recognize the name of the author, Erik Kramer. He was a football quarterback who played for the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and San Diego Chargers in the late 1980s and 1990s.

Personally signed by Erik! My personal life has not been perfect lately, so I am really looking forward to reading this. Supposedly, it's a great motivational book. It's available on Amazon here - The Ultimate Comeback

Thank you for looking, and I hope you are all having a great day too!

When we get failed and discouraged, it is wise to look towards motivational stories and words which stir us from our hesitancy. I hope that book proves good for you.
Snowy and fogy weather at riverside are always photogenic. I am also one who used to click pics . This is an emblem of being aesthetic

I love the color of the sky at sunrise.
The morning fog on Donner Lake is spectacular.
Your childhood friend is a famous person.
He signed a book for you, and I'm so envious of your excitement.

The Sun in these beautiful hues is more than enough inspiration that beautiful things can be found around us.
The book would also inspire, written by someone who has been 'here and there'.

When you read a book by an old childhood friend it's always a pleasure!!! For your photo of the morning mist is really pretty, it could remind you of Lake Loch Ness where the Loch Ness Monster hides in Scotland. In Scotland fog is part of the permanent landscape

Ha! Yeah, we are lucky that the fog usually burns off fairly quickly around here. Snow is a different story. A big storm is about to roll in and it will probably stay for a few days...
