๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŒŠ โ˜€๏ธ Where the World Meets the Wind โ€“ Pattaya 2025! ( part 1)

These photos were taken on March 2, 2025.

I know how it goes โ€” most people scroll through five or six images and move on. So instead of dropping all 34 shots at once, I decided to split them into two posts. Today is part one.

Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2025

DSC09492.jpg

This annual kite festival transforms the coastline of Pattaya into an open-air gallery. Itโ€™s not just about flying kites โ€” itโ€™s about scale, imagination, and that shared moment when everyone looks up at the same sky.

DSC09482.jpgDSC09488.jpg

Teams from around 10โ€“11 countries took part: Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Colombia, China, India, Taiwan, the UAE, and Thailand. Different cultures, different styles โ€” one stretch of beach, one wind.

The atmosphere? Incredible.

DSC09416-2.jpgDSC09400.jpg

Strong sea breeze, bright tropical sun, a sky filled with colors of national flags. Tourists, families, kids running barefoot on the sand, music drifting through the air. At some point I caught myself smiling for no reason โ€” pure childhood memory unlocked. Back then I couldnโ€™t even imagine kites could be this massive.

And they are massive.

DSC09403.jpgDSC09409.jpg

Weโ€™re talking about giant artistic installations: cartoon characters, fantasy creatures, astronauts, sharks โ€” floating high above the shoreline. Designing something that big is already a challenge. Making it stable enough to rise and dance with the wind โ€” thatโ€™s engineering and art combined.

DSC09423.jpgDSC09418.jpg

The scale of the event is impressive. Almost the entire beach line was occupied. It honestly felt like the whole city showed up just to watch the sky.

Our child was absolutely happy. So were we. It was our first time attending this festival, and it exceeded expectations in every way.

There was one kite that stood out to me the most โ€” bold, saturated colors, perfectly balanced in the air. It didnโ€™t just fly, it performed.

Right now, Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2026 is already happening. This weekend weโ€™re heading back to the beach for new ัะผะพั†ะธะธ and new shots. New kites, new stories, new sky.

Part two coming soon.

Yes, I actually wanted to make them bright, almost like in a cartoon.

Maybe itโ€™s because when I was very little, we had a black-and-white TV, and all the cartoons I watched were in black and white ๐Ÿ™‚

Thatโ€™s probably why I love vivid colors so much.

I feel the need for colors especially in January and February, due to winter. We're lucky because most of the days are sunny, but still.

I can understand the feeling as those times were awful. We also had black-and-white TV, which was mostly faulty ๐Ÿ˜† but there was not much to watch anyway ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yeah, but at least we spent our free time playing outside in the yard instead of sitting on gadgets like kids do today! ๐Ÿ˜„

That is very true. Kids today don't know what playing means :(

Waooo!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅฐ I really love this. Flying kites is such a beautiful passion, and I'm proud that at 30 years old, I can still go out and fly kites whenever I want; it relaxes me a lot, @russia-btc.

This annual festival would be a dream for me to see and even to participate in, representing Cuba ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ˜. All the designs presented are spectacular, plus they are huge; I've never seen any of that size in my city.

I'm going to save many of these photos in my gallery because the work from the countries at the event is really beautiful.

Greetings bro and have an excellent weekend, thanks for sharing so much beauty. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™

Wow, thank you so much for such a warm comment! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

I love that you still fly kites at 30!
It would be amazing to see Cuba represented at this festival one day ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡บ I can already imagine how colorful and vibrant that kite would be! If that ever happens, Iโ€™ll definitely be there with my camera.

Iโ€™m really happy the photos meant something to you โ€” thatโ€™s the best compliment a photographer can get.
Have a fantastic weekend too, my friend! And may the wind always be on your side ๐ŸŽโœจ

Lookโ€ฆ I tried to convert it to a GIF, I don't know if it loads properly, bro. But later I'll try to show some that I've made myself for me. Because I've really liked this kite ๐Ÿช culture since I was a kid.

Greetings and a nice weekend to you too @russia-btc ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™
