International Summer Fashion Show 2025 - CAUTION: Lots of photos

Enough of Bangkok — let’s move on to Pattaya.

One day, while casually walking through Central Pattaya, already close to the exit, I noticed a crowd of people clearly waiting for something. No ads, no announcements — just that quiet sense that something was about to happen. Curiosity won, so I slowed down and stayed.

It turned out to be the International Summer Fashion Show 2025.

By the time I pulled out my camera, the show had already started. I managed to find a spot only in the back rows, which meant limited angles and lots of heads in the frame — organizers, spectators, phones held high. Not ideal, but that’s part of real-life shooting 🙂

The location itself was interesting: an open space inside a shopping mall, bright lights, loud music, people stopping randomly on their way to shops, some staying for a minute, others watching the whole show. Fashion, noise, shopping bags, and summer vibes — very Pattaya.

There were plenty of professional photographers and videographers around, moving confidently, clearly knowing where to stand and when to shoot. And then there was me — a self-taught photographer, trying to stay invisible and not ruin anyone’s shot.

To be honest, I’m very far from the world of fashion. I didn’t fully understand what exactly the models were promoting — most likely summer or beachwear — but that wasn’t really important to me. I wasn’t there for brands or trends. What mattered was the process, the practice, and the challenge.

Shooting an event like this without preparation, literally on the fly, isn’t easy at all. No chance to adjust settings calmly, no second takes, changing light, fast movement. I didn’t even have a flash with me. At that moment, it had been only three months since I bought my camera, and honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d get anything usable.

But that’s how experience is built. You press the shutter, make mistakes, miss moments, catch a few good frames — and slowly start understanding how it all works.

Looking back now, I think some of the photos turned out quite decent. Not perfect, not magazine-level, but real. And that’s enough for me.
