Photo Trip | Hungary - Széchenyi thermal bath in Budapest

COVER.jpg

The Széchenyi Thermal Bath is the largest thermal spa complex in Europe. Looking through the offerings on the website, it seems to have everything you’d expect from a spa like this, including a beer spa. It’s a very popular spot and is often featured by various influencers on Instagram and YouTube. I think their outdoor pools, surrounded by beautiful neo-Baroque architecture, are particularly popular.

Széchenyi thermal bath to największy kompleks uzdrowiskowy z wodami termalnymi w Europie.

View from the southeast (Kós Károly Street). The complex is located in City Park (“Városliget”) near Heroes' Square in Budapest. I didn't go inside; I just walked past it. It looks impressive from the outside, but I've heard the interior needs a little renovation. There are many interesting places to see in Budapest, and it's impossible to see them all in a single day.

View of the southwest side. The first building was constructed in the 1880s. The spa was officially opened in 1913. There is a subway station right next to the building, which makes it easy to get there.

Widok na stronę południowo-zachodnią. Pierwszy budynek powstał w latach 80-tych XIX wieku.

Those building are such a rare diamonds in today's times. Would love to see and explore Budapest, was there only once but only to catch an aeroplane for Cairo.

I was only there for one full day, exploring the city from morning until night. However, that was definitely not enough to see all the gems. I recommend spending a few days there ;)
