Tough days ahead.

It doesn't make sense, as people die in heatwaves and here, we battle with the cold.

The weather is out of control worldwide, not only are wildfires destroying everything in their way, but over here we are struggling with destructive flooding and cold. We heard on the radio that a young rugby player in Europe died from sunstroke, so things are really bad with the heatwaves.
The cold fronts over here also seem to be never ending. Just when we think they are done, at last, another one appears, and by now it feels never ending.

I have given you an idea in the photos here of what an arriving cold front looks like on the mountains. The wind blows the clouds across the mountains at high speeds, and everything around feels frozen. The blossoms on the trees tell another story, as they thought that Spring season had arrived, and now in the cold they will be sure to be damaged or blown off by icy cold winds.

Only the crows fly in this weather, and the small birds in our garden fill themselves up with seeds before they disappear into the dense trees to hide from the cold. It is the same with the bees, as they buzz around collecting pollen while they feed also on the nectar. But there is not much for them because some flowers close when the sun is not shining.

Finally, I close with this nice and cold picture.

Our house has no air vents in the walls, and it feels like we are sitting in a fridge when we work here in the study. We don't have any heaters as they make us sick, so, my wife sits in front of her PC with a blanket over her and I just tough it out. We dress like Eskimos down here and in Europe people get rid of their extra clothing due to the heat waves. Sheer madness, methinks.
Such is life.
