Another stunning day.
One can never know what the next day will bring, especially weatherwise.
I will share 5 shots of the morning mountain peaks, and 5 shots to show you how the clouds were chased across the sky in the afternoon.
Had to go to a meeting and took some shots along the way. Papillon launched a pilot project at one of the schools for children with disabilities late last year and the project was a great success, so we have continued it this year. I don't want to say too much about it, as I will soon do a full post on it. Photography is one of my habits, and hardly a day goes by that I don't take photos, either in nature or here in the small gardens at home.
Come and see.
We love to watch the clouds blanketing the mountains, as eventually it will cover the entire mountain. The great thing about this, is when one gets to the foothills of the mountains then it looks like a great big white wall. The wind is supposed to come from the SSE, but then there are crosswinds from both the East and the West. You will see, in the second part of the photos, how the crosswinds divide the clouds.
.
Totally different, and totally beautiful.
This was a view towards the south and you can see how the wind, coming from the south, is struggling against the wind from the west.
And then back at home, with a dense cloud cover starting to appear.
Can you believe that this is a late afternoon photo, and you can see that the streetlamp is not on yet, and the sun was behind it. Look at that sun halo trying to form, but sadly it was not successful.
I walked closer to the two high palms and then went on to my knees to get this shot below. The reason why I went on to my knees, was to avoid the streetlamp.
So yes, as I said above, one can never know what to expect and I always look forward to it. We go out there with expectations, and we are hardly ever surprised as we prepare for any eventuality, and there are many over here. But there are also many less eventful periods, especially now in late autumn and with the winter rains coming. We have had some serious rain coming down to prepare us for the winter storms. I took some shots of that rain incident, and maybe I will show it to you in the post after this one.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Wow those are some majestic shots! I can almost get the cool damp clouds as they blanket over the shoulders of the mountains. The last of those ones almost looks like waves crashing on a beach.
I probably say it all the time but it blows my mind you guys are inviting fall in when we are just getting to spring. Wish we had mountains up here like that sometimes.
When we moved down here, the first thing that I saw was the mountain range, and it has been a pleasure to see it every day. Only 6 kilometers from our home, and I can get right up to the mountains in order to see the peaks. The beach of the Atlantic Ocean is also 6 kilometers from our home, and we were blessed to get a home right in the middle between the mountains and the sea.
You certainly have a great sunset shot in here, and yeah, the difference of the seasons between the south and the northern hemispheres also fascinates me at times. A pity that you have no mountains.

I was amazed by the work of the crosswinds, they managed to create beautiful cloud shapes that looked like blankets neatly arranged on a mattress.
Oh yes, those cross winds can at time conjure up great artworks in the sky and nature. The mountains will make a very hard mattress. !LOL

These clouds in the mountainous areas are something we all long to spend more time in. Especially when we are on vacation, we all plan to visit such places. These special and beautiful pictures have been created with a lot of hard work.
Oh yes, I agree with you, and we are happy to have the mountains close to our home. Thank you for the kind compliment about the pictures.

Amazing photos they couldn't be taken in an other moment life must stored in shuts like these
Love how every day can look so different, especially with mountains it’s like nature has its own mood swings haha.
Nature do indeed have many moods, and most of them are dependent on the whiles of the winds chasing the clouds every day. Glad that you liked the post.

Those clouds blanketing the mountains look amazing, and I wonder what the beauty would be if there were no clouds on them.
Thank you, and the mountain peaks look very intimidating on a clear day. The strength of the mountains radiates from them on a clear day.

Wow, those are some epic clouds. Great job capturing them with your photography. Really impressive. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the compliment!
Your photos capture the serene beauty of nature perfectly! The way you describe photography as a habit is truly inspiring. And also the mountain peaks and cloudscapes are stunning. It's wonderful to see how your photography also extends to capturing the success of the Papillon project.
I am glad that you appreciated the post and the story, and I thank you for the compliment.
