Is the 50 mm the best lens? / El 50 mm es el mejor objetivo?

Yes, for me it is one of the best lenses I have ever used, the 50 mm. It is a very versatile lens, you can use it at night or during the day and you will get great shots. Its depth of field I think is one of the reasons why I use it. The lens can reach an aperture of f/1.4 which allows for more light and greater depth of field.

Here I share 2 similar pictures but with different focus capture, one to the eye and the other to the beard. Can you see it?

I have used this lens for portraits, nature, weddings, among others, and I always get great results.

Si, para mi es uno de los mejores objetivos que haya utilizado, el 50 mm. Es un lente muy versatil, puedes usarlo de noche o de día y obtendrás, capturas fabulosas. Su profundidad de campo creo que es una de las razones por la cual lo utilizo, El objetivo puede alcanzar una apertura de f/1.4 la cual permita mayor entrada de luz y mayor profundidad de campo.

Aquí les comparto 2 fotografías similares pero con diferente captura de enfoque, uno al ojo y el otro hacia la barba. Lo pudiste ver?

Este lente, lo he usado para hacer fotos de retratos, naturaleza, bodas , entre otras, y siempre obtengo grandes resultados.

Yup, if I can have only one single fixed length lens, I’d take the nifty fifty! I once shot a whole wedding with only the sigma 50 f1.4 on my canon 5D, and the results were fabulous! Did take a lot of steps that day though! ;-) used to own the canon L50 f1.2 as well, which is also a dream lens…

I understand and share your opinion, it is a very versatile lens and of course it is possible to make a whole coverage with it, like a wedding. In fact it is my favorite lens for weddings. Thanks for commenting 😄

Te entiendo y comparto tu opinión es un lente muy versátil y por supuesto es posible realizar toda una cobertura con ella, como una boda. De hecho es mi lente favorito para bodas. Gracias por comentar 😄

es un lente muy versátil. hace varios años es considerado la óptica 'normal'. antes el 35mm ocupaba este lugar, principalmente pq era muy utilizado en el reportaje fotográfico, y pq condecía con la visión del ojo humano en sus dimenciones representativas del espacio.
para mí actualmente el 50mm se lleva el puesto 1. los fabricantes han conseguido piezas livianas y de gran apertura. sin duda es su era.

Si, es el objetivo mas similar a la vista humana, creo que por eso me gusta tanto, porque se pensar y ver a través de el. Gracias por comentar 😉

Excelente post referente a los lentes de focal fija 50mm los cuales para muchos son "la distancia focal perfecta"... En mi opinión eso es algo bastante acertado desde el punto de vista de la calidad de imagen, el bokeh, la captación de luz y esa "conexión natural" que generan los 50mm con nuestro cerebro y lo que vemos... Yop tengo un Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G y lo uso con mi vieja Nikon D7000 (Formato DX)... Es una delicia hacer fotos con esta combinación y a mienudo suelo pensar que "lucen mejor que la realidad" :)) je je ... Los he usado para fotografía de calle, close-ups de naturaleza, algunos retratos y hasta macros (con una lentilla Rainox DCR-150)... Y... Cuando la luz es escasa, el 50mm hace que uno olvide el flash!!!!... ;-) Excelente post, gracias por compartir!

Excellent post regarding the 50mm prime lenses which for many are "the perfect focal length".... In my opinion this is quite right from the point of view of image quality, bokeh, light gathering and that "natural connection" that the 50mm generates with our brain and what we see... I have a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G and I use it with my old Nikon D7000 (DX format)... It's a delight to take pictures with this combination and I often think that they "look better than reality" :))) hehehe ... I've used them for street photography, close-ups of nature, some portraits and even macros (with a Rainox DCR-150 lens)... Y... When the light is low, the 50mm makes you forget the flash !!!!... ;-) Excellent post, thanks for sharing!

Wow si, es lo que pienso. El 50mm tiene como una conexión natural, es difícil no amarlo. El bokeh como dices es una de las cosas que más me gusta de este lente. Y como dices, si es necesario utilizar flash de apoyo no me incomoda, pero es un lente tan único que puedes disfrutarlo sin el.

Wow yes, that's what I think. The 50mm has like a natural connection, it's hard not to love it. The bokeh as you say is one of the things I like most about this lens. And as you say, if it's necessary to use back up flash it doesn't bother me, but it's such a unique lens that you can enjoy it without it.
