Sun, sand and sea
Hello over here!
It's time to reveal the place where I went yesterday. I feel a little sore from the excess of nautical activities, but it was worth it because I am overflowing with joy, and my skin today has a nice tan.
It is Playa Larga (Long Beach), in the province of Matanzas, a wonderful destination of sun, sand and sea that can be appreciated in many ways.
Just admiring these landscapes and listening to the murmur of the waves with their sparkling sound on the shore, you feel so good that the other pleasures come in addition.
This beach is known because when you enter it you walk and walk for a long time and the water level does not exceed your knees.
I loved this return to Playa Larga because it was almost all to ourselves. The Transtur agency bus that took us there was carrying –maybe– less than 30 people. And I think that since it was out of beach season, there were very few people in that facility who welcomed us.
Just a few Russians and us so rowdy that we got to spice up the atmosphere.
The hotel guests were smiling kindly. We could see them, very tanned also on the shore, enjoying the Cuban cocktails. Others took refuge under the coconut trees 😅 or the guano with a book in their hands, while their bodies were impregnated with salt in the soft breeze coming from the sea.
I snapped a few photos and got some treasures, which I added to my collection of pleasant and/or meaningful moments.
This excursion will be the first of many this year, in which I have determined to get out of my comfort zone, in some ways.
After all, it's all about growing, enjoying the process and accumulating experiences that elevate us to a higher plane in our lives.

Out of curiosity again, do you think that your version is closer to what you actually saw?
I am asking this because I usually feel that the edited pictures are closer to the experience I had in real life than the unedited ones.
Well, I edit based on what I saw. When we got there it was early (you see there is no one on the beach?) and the sun was not so bright, there were clouds. That's why I thought that if I increased the exposure a lot, it wouldn't give that feeling, but of a more advanced day and brighter sun, which usually makes the colors stand out and saturate more.
I do minimal retouching on my photos for a matter of -perhaps- my profession. I got used to this. But I understand that it looks nicer the way you saw it.
Thanks for answering, I understand now. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to patronise you or to show-off, it was genuine curiosity :)

But it's a good practice for health and to feel a little discomfort in our comfortable lives. Stoic thinking. 😂
You can make a resolution ;) Once the Cuban rivers freeze, you'll take a dip too :P

I have always wanted to see the beaches of Cuba, they are beautiful 😍 I miss the beaches of the Caribbean, here in Argentina they are quite different 😅

While I was on the beach, a kingfisher passed by and I didn't have time to take a picture of it. I thought how I would like to have a photo of a bird. Then, when I was swimming I saw a flock of small birds flying towards the reefs.
So far I had not managed to get a photo of a single bird. 🤷🏻♀️
So, at a moment when I was sitting very relaxed on a deck chair, this bird came and started to make a very loud sound. I grabbed my camera, took the picture without moving from where I was sitting and as soon as I smiled at the result, the bird was gone.
Birds are like that, you either get lucky or you don't hahaha, they are unpredictable, but you got a beautiful shot!😍
What a trip I missed, super nice place, and your photos. It will be next time. The important thing was that you enjoyed it and had a wonderful day with my old friends. Happy weekend with new vibes. 🥰❤️🥰

Matanzas long beach is full of beauty( I am seeing this!)
I will also start collecting things from all the places where ever I go. That will remind me of my trips and it will be a great memory.

Playa Larga is a beautiful place.. cuando estudiaba en el ISA iba en las vacaciones en una brigada cultural que se sumerjia en los intrincados canales de la ciénaga de Zapata. Una experiencia única junto al grupo de teatro que hoy es la colmenita.. así entre canales, cocodrilos, carbón y mosquitos pude apreciar la belleza de esos virgenes paisajes y el humilde y bondadoso corazón de los habitantes de la zona..
¡Cuántos buenos recuerdos! Puedes contarlos un día aquí en Hive. 😁 Hay una comunidad que te quedará perfecta para eso.

That piano 🤣 is a big influence hahaha ... in there are only worn out logs and some shells. Finding the sea urchin shell was very surprising.
