How many exclamations points can you put after the word "windows" before you begin to look like a psychopath?
My vote is for three.
Three exclamation points and people think that you're really excited about something or maybe that you're trying to be ironic or satirical; four seems careless, and makes a person think "Okay, this guy's a Jackass."

Okay moving on. Is the next photo (below) more about the windows or more about the doors? I can't tell.
Some people, in some places, will literally hang junk from their windows and call it decoration. Even more surprising is that it sometimes works.
"Wait! Don't throw away that old bike I know just what to do with it... I'll take the old steering wheel too. Now all I need is 15 pairs of old shoes and some random bolts of tattered fabric... a bird house would really round off the look I'm going for..."
And somehow, I really liked it when I saw it.
Old, rusty, broken and crumbly.
Painted and abandoned.
"He's just saying words now."
The one below is one of my favorites. I'm not sure why.
Symmetry can be key when taking photos of windows...

Yellow!!!
Blue is nice too,
but far more common.
At least in the places that I've been too. Even the laundry is blue. I wonder if that was planned?

Notice the squirrels nest of wires surrounding the old box air conditioner.
And now here are some interesting balconies.
The stone balconies below are particularly unique.
They were spotted in Barcelona.
I like the pastel colors of the walls in the next photo and the unique trim work around the green shutters.
I'll end this with some complementary and contrasting colors schemes.

I save them up during my travels. It really depends on the location and whether or not I remember to actively look for interesting looking windows. Some places have a lot of cool ones so I collect a lot at once. Other times it's many different places with only a few from each. So it really depends lol

Ha well you're not wrong about that. I feel like its more normal to do it in Europe because there are so many tourists taking photos. I'd probably get arrested taking photos of windows in a residential neighborhood in Canada haha
Kinda like that here except for one extra step where they shoot you first and then call the cops. Otherwise, totally the same!

Haha yeah I caught on after I replied. My brain was just moving very slowly at that point 😅 the windows image went right over my head lol. Afterwards, I was like "oh right." Haha just one of those idiot moments for me.
Two is the bare minimum for me haha !

Yeah I collect doors as well and have done posts on them. Doors are usually a little more interesting but windows can be pretty cool as well.
