Hello #Hive friends!...Today I share with you a selection of macro photographs taken in recent days on some natural elements such as tree barks, flowers, insects and even a small reptile about to hide in a crack in the wall...

I found this adorable pair of moth lovers on the wall outside my house one morning when I was about to go out to take some street photographs... Aren't they adorable? ;)

When the light is favourable the settings can be forced and then something as everyday as this dried flower becomes a handful of lovely details to look at against a completely out of focus background...

Weevils are charming and photo-worthy creatures, but they tend to have a "bad habit" of dropping to the ground and playing dead when they feel threatened :), so getting a good photo of these cute little critters is quite a lucky thing.

I photographed this pretty shoe-shaped flower (or so it seems to me) with the sole purpose of calibrating my camera and lens for a photo shoot. But I ended up loving the result, so it became a photo destined to be shared.

A beautiful magenta dragonfly appeared in my garden one afternoon and was a very cooperative "model" for a photo shoot from which I chose this one to share as part of this publication.

This huge (and in my opinion ungraceful) green grasshopper was another find on the outside wall of my house. I love it when I can photograph insects on that white wall, as the lighting is very favourable for macro shots like this one.

A tiny damselfly perched on a small branch during an extremely sunny day, becomes an exceptional opportunity for an almost poetic photograph like this one... I love these small and elegant insects!

Orthoptera are definitely not my favourite insects, as I don't find them very charming. However, there are angles in which they resemble little bugs with a "puppy face" looking at me... This is perhaps a good example of this...

On the other hand, butterflies "always seem to me to be good news for taking pictures" (as well as cats and dogs)... So this is a small and discreet butterfly perched quietly on a plant almost at ground level... But what pretty wings!

These beautiful colourful lizards are tiny and slippery too... So in all the years I've been taking photos I've never been able to do a session for them with the peace of mind I've been looking for... But it seems to me that this photo is relatively good!...

Thorns, thorns and more thorns...! I love these tree barks full of thorns, so I take pictures of them whenever I have the chance in good light in the forest.... And with this photo I end my today's post for you!....

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... The pictures are then exported to JPG format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3. and/or Photoshop
