These are photographic views in the rural areas of my village (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela), I made these photographs during the early hours of the mornings, when the atmosphere is usually delightfully complex, with fogs and sun rays generating a beautiful view in almost all the observed corners.

Estos son vistas fotográficas en las zonas rurales de mi pueblo (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela), hice estas fotografías durante las primeras horas de las mañanas, cuando la atmósfera suele ser deliciosamente compleja, con nieblas y rayos solares generando una hermosa vista en casi todos los rincones observados.

When I started editing these photos, almost all of those selected were captured horizontally and were relatively open landscape shots taken at focal lengths of between 18 and 24mm.... So it occurred to me to experiment by cropping the images to 16:9 wide horizontal format.

Cuando comencé con la edición de estas fotos, casi todas las seleccionadas estaban capturadas en forma horizontal y correspondían a tomas relativamente abiertas de paisajes hechas con distancias focales de entre 18 y 24mm... Así que se me ocurrió experimentar recortando las imágenes en formato horizontal ancho de 16:9.

But as I selected other photos, some that I liked were captured vertically and others were a bit tighter shots corresponding to more punctual elements of the environment. However, despite these characteristics, I decided to continue cropping all of them in that 16:9 format... I think the result has been quite good according to my perception.

Pero en la medida en la que fui seleccionando otras fotos, algunas que me gustaron estaban capturadas en forma vertical y otras eran tomas un poco más cerradas correspondientes a elementos mas puntuales del entorno. Sin embargo, a pesar de estas características, decidí continuar recortando todas en ese formato 16:9... Me parece que el resultado ha sido bastante bueno según mi percepción.

Regarding how to take the pictures, I have to say that the usual conditions of September sunrises in my locality, almost always represent a challenge to take pictures, as the combinations of mist with sun rays, relatively warm colours and abundance of green foliage, are a bit complicated to manage. However, once you get a couple of combinations of parameters right, you can take good pictures that don't require too much time for post-processing.

Respecto a como hacer las fotografías, tengo que decir que las condiciones usuales de los amaneceres de Septiembre en mi localidad, casi siempre representan un desafío para hacer fotos, pues las combinaciones de nieblas con rayos solares, colores relativamente cálidos y abundancia de follajes verdes, son un poco complicadas de gestionar. Sin embargo, una vez que uno consigue un par de combinaciones de parámetros adecuadas, se pueden hacer buenas fotografías cuyo procesado posterior no requiera invertirle demasiado tiempo.

For example, for these photos, the combinations of parameters involved the use of F/7.1, F/8 and F/9 apertures, which allows good detail to be recorded in almost all situations... I varied the ISOs from 400 to 650 depending on the light conditions encountered.

Por ejemplo, para estas fotos, las combinaciones de parámetros implicaron el uso de aperturas F/7.1, F/8 y F/9, esto permite mantener buen registro de detalles en casi todas las situaciones... Los ISO los varié de 400 a 650 según la condición lumínica enfrentada.

Some parameters such as the white balance I had to set manually to 4500K or 4900K also according to the light condition... The intention was to do the least amount of adjustment afterwards on the PC, however some of them required some changes of settings more for aesthetic reasons than anything else.

Algunos parámetros como el balance de blancos tuve que configurados manualmente a 4500K o 4900K también según la condición lumínica... La intención era hacer la menor cantidad de ajuste después en la PC, sin embargo algunas requirieron algunos cambios de ajustes más por un tema de estética que de otra cosa.

All the captures were made with my old and faithful Nikon D7000 camera and an equally faithful 18-200mm Sigma zoom lens, quite versatile. The shooting mode was semi-automatic aperture (A) obviously with RAW format.

Todas las capturas las hice con mi vieja y fiel cámara Nikon D7000 y un igualmente fiel zoom 18-200mm Sigma bastante versátil. El modo de disparo fue semi-automático de apertura (A) obviamente con formato RAW.

The post-processing was done in Adobe Camera Raw until the photo was almost as desired... Some secondary adjustments such as light and shadow patches were made on the resulting JPGs with Adobe Photoshop CS6, and then cropped to 16:9 with PhotoScape, where the watermarks were also added.

El post-procesado fue realizado en Adobe Camera Raw hasta casi dejar la foto como se deseaba... Algunos ajustes secundarios como parches de luz y sombras fueron realizados sobre los JPG resultantes con Adobe Photoshop CS6, para después ser recortados en 16:9 con PhotoScape, en donde también se le agregaron las marcas de agua.
