The Lights of Federation Square

Federation square is meant to be the 'town square' of Melbourne, except it sort of isn't, I've been to many a European Piazza and the feel of Fed Square just isn't the same, there is something about Australians where they really don't do public spaces the same way as the rest of the world. It works for events, and festivals, but not are the natural everyday meeting place a town square is in Europe.

What Fed Square does have is amazing modern architecture, and they try very very hard to bring life to the space, this night was one of those, for NAIDOC week, which is a celebration of Australian indigenous culture they were projecting indigenous art onto the buildings of the square, and these are two shoots I took of that art.
