Testing Macro

(Edited)

A while back my workmate lent me his macro lens that he had recently bought. I tried to test it out close-up on some totally random objects. In this case, I went to the nearby lake and started experimenting.

Unfortunately, it was quite a long time ago and I don't remember what were the stats or make of this lens. It was something not Canon or Nikon or anything like that. It was a name that I had not heard about much before. Either way here are some photos. All the photos are original and not zoomed in.

Getting close to the sand. It's cool to see that sand is just a pile of small rocks really.

I think I have more macro-test shots of blooming flowers that I took in my yard. I have to find these and will post them at some point too.

The photos are magnificent, you don’t even need to think for a long time. Beautiful colors and shades, and most importantly the right angle and sharpness. Thank you very much for your skill. Have a good evening.

These are some nice close up pics, I don't know what this Macro is or what it means, but it seems to be working well :)

Hah, thanks! Macro lenses can just focus stuff close to the lens itself, in great detail.

One must have a good camera to take such beautiful close up pictures as you have all these pictures look very beautiful.

Doesnt really need to be a high-end camera to get shots like this. Just a macro lens is needed.

Wow, the shots are beautiful 😍❤️
And I can't imagine how you felt snapping those grains of stones to show us the sands are just full of them. It must have felt good because I did feel good learning about it with proof on your friend's lens, of course.
