Speedy Clouds

About a month ago when we still had no snow on the ground there was a usual gray November evening. I noticed that the cloud cover got patchy and partly clear. Clouds also moved fast as hell due to the wind. I decided to go outside and just capture some random long exposures with the speedy clouds, I love the effect it creates. The moon also shined on the clouds and brightened them up.

I used 20-second exposure, f5.6 and ISO 125

Unfortunately, the patchy cloud cover moment didn't last very long. I looked for another location, set up the camera, framed the shot but suddenly the sky was overcast, which didn't make a very interesting shot. I waited about 10 minutes, maybe the clouds will go back to how they were before. Took a shot with a phone of my camera due to boredom.

...but no, the sky didn't clear anymore. Took the shot with the camera anyway from this spot.

It's a good idea to photograph the movements of the clouds in the night sky.

It's great when the sky or clouds are this way. You were able to get those couple of shots that are amazing even though the sky got cloudy. There will be better and longer moments 👍🏻📸

At least I got two shots yeah. Wish I had more time to get some more. Maybe another time.

I like that effect too. I have never thought of doing a long exposure on the clouds.

Pretty fun messing with long exposed clouds. You should try too sometime.
