Captured a Partial Solar Eclipse
On the 29th of March, a partial solar eclipse happened. I decided to try and capture it. It was visible for about an hour and the maximum sun coverage was around 13.30. To get it on the photo I needed to use a neutral density filter because 50 ISO and 1/4000 shutter speed is not enough to take a photo straight into the sun and see something.
The problem is that my ND filter is not suitable for my 70-200m Tamron. The diameter of the filter on this lens is 77mm but my ND filter is 65mm. So it's not enough but I can still put it on my lens and it covers at least some of the area. This is why you see the bright area above. This is the part that was not covered with the filet.
Honesty, I think that this effect looks pretty cool that I managed to create. The sun was only 16% covered and it did not get any darker outside. It's dangerous to watch into the sun with the naked eye but when at times the sun went behind the cloud you could see the eclipse through the cloud with the naked eye.

Ah lol that makes sense why it looked "weird" cos of the tiny ND filter. xD It's so cool to see it. Whenever there's a solar or lunar eclipse it's always on the side of America so we're not able to see it!! 🤣
Your time will come, im sure of it!. I hope to see a full solar eclipse someday but I need to travel for this. The next one in Estonia is in the year of 2126 or somethig. Doubt that im around then haha.
