🎥 Say Hello to My New Creative Buddy: The Sony ZV-1M2 📸
Hello everyone!
I’m so excited to finally share that I’ve gotten my very first digital compact camera, and it’s the Sony ZV-1 Mark2 (ZV-1 II)! 🖤
Up until now, the only other camera I owned was a Nikon analog one with the lens you can change. It still takes photos on film which I love :). It has its charm, but truth be told… I never actually developed any of those films😅. So you could say this is a big step forward into the digital world of content creation for me!
Why the ZV-1M2?
I chose the ZV-1M2 because I really wanted something compact, simple, and powerful enough to support both vloggingand photography, especially while I’m traveling, attending rallies, or just capturing moments from everyday life and later post it on here. The ZV series by Sony is designed with content creators in mind, and this second generation model has a few awesome upgrades over the original:
• Ultra wide 18–50mm lens – Perfect for vlogging, selfies, and tight shots in busy places
• Flippy screen – A lifesaver for solo filming
• Built in microphone with wind shield – Audio without extra gear? Yes, please.
• Fast autofocus and background defocus
• Compact, pocket friendly body – I literally take it everywhere already😜
I’ve started taking some photos with it and, I’ll be honest I’m not happy with how they turned out😅. But that’s only because I didn’t touch a single setting or did any editing. I just wanted to test it outside :)
But that’s part of the journey, right?
Learning how to use this camera properly, understanding lighting, playing with settings, and eventually editing both photos and videos is going to be a long (but exciting!) learning process. So much information has been through my head and there’s more to come🤣!
My Goals With the Camera
The main reason I got the ZV-1M2 was for vlogging. I’ve been wanting to start creating more video content for a while now and this camera is basically made for that. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and really beginner friendly without compromising on quality. I’ll also be using it to capture moments at rallies, events, travel adventures, and hopefully just everyday beauty that I might’ve missed without a camera in hand.
Yes sure my iPhone 14 Pro Max can do that too but camera is still a camera😝🤘🏻
And who knows… maybe I’ll finally learn how to take actual good photos too 😅
Thanks for being here with me as I start this new chapter. I’ll definitely keep you guys updated as I figure out what works and what doesn’t with this little powerhouse of a camera.
If any of you have tips on using the ZV-1M2, or compact camera tips in general, please share them I’d love to learn from you :)!

That's a pretty camera, the size is just right I think 🤔. And the shots, I think its not bad as well. If you touch the settings i'm sure it'll come out even better. Good luck on your plan to vlog 💃 as well as the plan to explore more on your photography skills. ✨
The size is amazing! I wish you could put the stings and hold it on your neck.
The pictures seem so grainy and overexposed😭. I thought using auto will be good but guess not🤣. I’ll play with the settings and learn more :). Thank you for the comment and support🙏🏻
Ohh love that camera! Perfect and your photos are amazing! Enjoy it and I hope you make some nice content with it.
Compared to the ones I’ve seen from other people mine seem way too grainy and bright 😭. Hopefully I get the hang of it :). Thank you the support and lovely comment😁
Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to it :)
Cool machinery...
Thank YOUUUUUUUU 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻❤️
Big Like for the black hair on the camera ;)
...also for the super quality pictures.....
Haha yeah it’s super cute! It’s against the wind when shooting videos :)
it has hair :D
i think you will be more happy with videos than photos with that one :D
It’s adorable🥹! And it’s so soft ahahaha
I think so too🤣! But I did mess with the settings a little and I like the results although I’m nowhere near the settings that fit me
Nice!
My travelcamera is a Sony RX100 V6, very happy with it.
Set the color to vivid and underexpose 0,3.
Thank you so much Tony!! I will try that asap!
Your Sony looks so good! Such a great camera but it was over my budget 😭
