Friday night, my daughter and her boyfriend Alex and I went to see Polyphia perform at The Depot in Salt Lake City. It was a birthday present for Alex, but all three of us were super excited to see them. Alex is a musician and Polyphia is his favorite band and he has wanted to see them live for a few years.

Alex plays the guitar and his style is a lot like how Polyphia plays, which is super technical and just amazingly hard notes. When we first got the tickets to see Polyphia, I wasn't sure how good the concert was going to be because they are not like traditional musicians where you have the band and then a lead singer. They are an instrumental band that just jams out with each other on each song. One of the coolest things about them is that there really is no main person in the band, and each person is a very important part of making everything sound so good.

They have such a unique sound and it is the perfect music to vibe to. One thing I was not prepared for was how crazy they would get the crowd. They go VERY hard live and there were mosh pits all around us and people were crowd surfing the entire time they played. My daughter had never been in a small venue like this where people are doing this type of stuff, so there were times where she got a bit overwhelmed with everything, but I stood guard next to her and pushed anyone back that was going too crazy close to her. Ever since I started working out on the Tonal, I have gotten so much stronger, and at one point, I pushed this one guy and he went flying back into the mosh pit and I never saw him again. It was like he disappeared.

Alex had an amazing time during the concert and he spent most of the time in the mosh pit and crowd surfing. The first time he went up and surfed the crowd, his phone fell out of his pocket, but luckily someone had returned it to event staff, so we were able to get it back. It would have sucked for him to lose all the photos and videos he had been taking the entire night.

I really liked the venue that they played at. The smaller venues are such a better vibe and a more intimate setting where you can get up close to the band while they play. This made it so much cooler to see these guys play because you could be right up by them as they are jamming out. They looked like they were having so much fun playing for the crowd. If you have never seen Polyphia perform live, I would suggest you try and find a way because these guys are really blowing up and these smaller venues wont last too much longer.

No wayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You saw Polyphia live?? Damn, I am so jealous. They are my favourite rock band. I am so pumped to see them on Hive too.

Like Alex, I play the guitar and I love Polyphia. Their style of music is way out of this world. They've got the tones, techniques, rhythms, harmonies, vibes, coolness...everything!

My all time favourite song of theirs is G.O.A.T. It literally is the greatest of all time for me. I mean, it is a total banger. I only learned the first one minute of the song. It is not an easy song to learn. And the same goes to all their song; they are all insane!

I can imagine how pumped Polyphia fans would have been during their show. They 100% love them. That is why you had so many people bumping into you three.

It is a good thing Alex got his phone back. It would have been a sad memory to meet Polyphia for the first time and lose your phone containing the photographys and videos of them in that event

I have never been to a Polyphia live event. I so want to. And it makes me so happy to know that someone else on Hive likes their music.

They were so good live. Like better than listening to their albums and everything. The vibe was so cool there too. GOAT is such a good song too. It was really cool when they played that one. Hopefully you are able to see them perform one day. I am sure you would love it.

Like concert and music is always something that remains in our memory for long time, have you ever had a moment when years later but hearing the same music that immediately brings the memory of such concert back, it is like a splash of adrenaline. Great pictures and hope your daughter enjoyed that :)

I think you suggested this band to me on discord before. I liked them at the time. I hope they come to Turkey one day or I go to America lol. I wonder about the guy you flew, I hope he's in one piece 😛.

I love their feeling for their performance. If one day I want to start music with one of the instruments. I will do it wholeheartedly. It's good that you took your daughter to this concert

Yesss. And they mix the trap with rock. I just watch the other day the way that the guitar player Tim Henson compose the tracks in his Youtube channel and it's insane. He split some rap and track músic and descopose and later create the rock tracks and the music for Polyphia. Another level!
