Headed home
My wife and I had an amazing time here in Oregon. When we went to sleep last night, there was a winter storm rolling in and we weren’t sure how the roads were gonna be when we woke up and we were worried that we might get stuck here for another day. That wouldn’t be the worst thing that could happen because we really love this place and we are hoping to eventually move here some day.
We called and checked on the road conditions and they let us know that the pass was clear and it should be fine to drive the hour and a half from the resort to the airport.
As we made our way up into the mountains, things started off pretty clear, but they quickly turned into an all out blizzard. Luckily the roads weren’t too bad and our rental car had all wheel drive so I wasn’t too worried about getting stuck on the way.
At least it was a beautiful drive. This is the place where I want to live. I just want to get a bunch of land in the forest here and get away from everyone.
Bigfoot is hiding somewhere in the forest. It would be so much fun to go hiking and kayaking here. I am planning on visiting again during the summer and going kayaking.
I had planned on going out and doing some wildlife photography, but decided that I would rather spend time with these little ones. The whole reason we came out here was for her birthday and we spent the entire time making memories with them.
These little girls are so special to us and even though we aren’t related by blood, we are excited to take on the role of grandparents to them. My wife has known their family since their dad was just a baby and even babysat him back in the day.
It was my first time meeting them, but they stole my heart. We are sad to leave, but at the same time we are excited to get back home to our own kids and get back to our normal routine. This has been such a great vacation and I am glad that I could spent it with my best friend.
Yeah, we woke up to the snow in the valley too in Eugene. Hoping you didn't come this way and not hit up the dude... lol... That would be rude, lol.
We flew into Medford and then stayed down in Klamath Falls the entire time. I would love to meet up with a bunch of people from the Oregon and California areas.
I like that part of the world. I went almost right through KFalls this year, the only stop was for gas and gatorade. I spent a night stealth camping just south of the Oregon border.
What an amazing landscape! You guys have such vast nature over there in the US. I can totally understand you want to live in that forest, it looks truly magical <3
It really is a special place to us.
Lots of snow there, it would be cozy to live deep in the pine trees - it's nice to catch up with family, have a safe trip home.
I would love a home tucked away in the forest.
Those are the moments that make life worth while. Beautiful snowy setting as well! !BEER
They sure are. It was such a great trip.

.That girl looks a lot like your wife, glad to see her knee is feeling a little better now, also glad you were able to enjoy that vacation, I notice a lot that you love Oregon, hope you can visit again soon.
Thanks man. We had an amazing time there.
Family first 🙂 Those girls are so cute! I've been always convinced that we don't need to be related by blood to consider somebody as family and love them as such.
We were once stuck in the mountains due to a blizzard and we had the best time! Luckily, we were able to book our room for one more night and enjoyed the wellness for most of the day 🙂
Yep, we are way closer to this family than we are to our blood family. They are special little girls.
The snow looks lovely, we've luckily only had sporadic snow this year in coastal New England, happily so. I love the stuff when I can have it a few days followed by rain and then sun haha. It looks like a wonderful trip @derangedvisions
This area gets more than 300 days of sun a year, so when it is snowing, the sun is shining bright. It is so cool and the sun feels so nice during the winter there. Now I am back in Utah where we have poisonous air and it is just gross and cold.
Very awesome bro! Making memories is what it's all about my friend! Glad you had a fun and safe trip!
Thanks man. It was such a great time and I am glad that I finally got to meet these little ones.
When I looked at the photos, I wanted to be there. It is an incredibly beautiful place and the snow on the ground and the trees are like a fairy tale land! The little girls are so cute and I know the time you spend with them is precious because I have little nieces and nephews too! I am glad you are safe on the road! I hope we can enjoy the snow one day too! (I live in Turkey and we don't want it to snow here because of the earthquake!)
Thank you. I hope that you all can recover from that earthquake. It is heartbreaking to see the devastation.
I thank you and I hope that this kind of suffering will never happen again anywhere in the world.
Glad to see you are having a wonderful time with you family. It's my dream place to live where you are living .
Wao you are lucky to live in snowy area. I have been very fond of seeing snow since childhood where I live it doesn't snow but one day I will move to a place where it gets heavy. Walking in the snow has its own fun. Your little both little princess are so cute.
