Stroll in the Woods by the River

DSC09250.jpeg

Let’s go for a stroll in the woods, otherwise known as Nymph Falls Nature Park. After a visit to the lower falls area, it was time to hit the trails, and get the blood flowing. I love walking through a forest! The trail pretty much runs adjacent to the river. Funny thing is, I thought the river was called Comox river, but after editing pictures and looking closely at the area map, in fact it is called “Puntledge river”. Who woulda thunk?! I must say, “Comox river” makes more sense, as it comes directly from the Comox lake! Am I right or am I wrong lol. Thanks for stopping by.

Walking in the forest with the sound of the river flowing as a companion, what's best? If you can turn and see it while walking even better

There’s always something new when you stroll at the forest and you always found a very interesting subject that catches your attention.

Bizarre naming on that river, Comox makes a lot more sense than Puntledge. Maybe Puntledge discovered the river or something? That first picture is nice winding into forest. And I love the bifurcated tree and stump, those are really cool to find. They aren't too common in most forests!

Apparently it is named after an indigenous people whom lived around there. Still prefer Comox river..

I think a nice Honda straight down that trail would be coo. A little peace destroyer
