Red Rock Canyon

DSC09772.jpeg

On the way back from Blakiston Falls, I stopped by Red Rock Canyon for a look. A very picturesque place featuring that stunning “Red Rock”. One of the major points of interest inside Waterton Lakes park. There is a great little easy hike which takes you around the perimetre of the canyon. As you can see, people and kids especially love to wade into the shallow canyon water and play around! If you ever find yourself in the area, due stop on by this place. Thanks for stopping by.

I can get why a lot of people are there, it's really stunning, canyons are already good enough but the red adds up something too

Wow that's a lot of people on the other side of the water. I guess it's also one of tnt rare occasions I've seen a lot of people in your hiking photos, what was the occasion?

No occasion, it is just an easy place for people to quickly visit, as it is only minutes from the parking lot!

That red rock has a certain charm, especially the white stripes. No doubt the kids will always play in those canyon waters—they have fun with everything. You’ve got to enjoy their innocence.

Yes, leave it to the kids to show us how to have fun!

Greetings,
The contrast between the canyon walls and the shallow water must be amazing in person. Did you find better light for photos in the morning or afternoon? Thanks for sharing this beautiful spot.

I would say morning may be better lighting wise, although these were taken in the afternoon.

I love beautiful red rock, and that's gorgeous. It reminds me of southern Utah and northern Arizona, red rock everywhere. Gorgeous shots, what a nice place to spend an afternoon! Any plans this weekend?

Just some yard work today followed by a nice relaxing day tomorrow. Traffic will be a nightmare this weekend so I'm glad I'm not going anywhere! lol
