Just “Right” Hike

These will be the final photos from this amazing hike, which took place late last year. It was a beautiful day, jam packed with plenty of photo ops to take advantage of. Love these kinds of hikes when everything goes “right”. Didn’t have to deal with any rain , nor wind, or any freak snow storms. Yes, we do get snow storms in October, it is possible and does happen. Obviously I did check the forecast before heading out, and it was decent for Fall. About a year ago I was hiking around Moraine Lake, and got stuck in a snow storm, of course this was at a higher altitude, but still was caught off guard by the flurries. Next time I will prepare appropriately. Eiffel Lake I’m coming for you again for round #2. Thanks for stopping by.

another great black and white transformation, the first one speaks so much about reflection.

Indeed, I make a point of looking for reflections as much as possible.

The view in the first picture is very beautiful, the bright blue sky with a few white clouds combined with the green of the forest and the reflection of the calm water creates a peaceful atmosphere.

Not pleasant to say the least. Hoping next time is a winner, temperature wise.

When you say snow storm, was the storm actually falling across the tarred roads and on the hike paths?

(Edited)

The storm was isolated to the Eiffel Lake area only, which is at a pretty high elevation, above Lake Moraine.

Ohh I get that now, it could have been a disaster if it wasn't just the hike area

You know the "wild" and bears go hand in hand...alls you need is a can of bear spray.

The first photo is a masterpiece both in B&W and in color!.... Loved both versions!.... Bravo!!!

But my photographic mind “loaded with a lot of monchromatic drama” made me applaud this wonder upon seeing it!

Beautiful pictures! Those first two are really nice, seeing the forest and reflection off of the water. I love those shots looking up into the trees, just so pretty. Spring is just around the corner now!
