Comox River Rapids

DSC09240.jpeg

These are the Comox river rapids; here on our fourth day on the big island, also known as Vancouver Island. The river bleeds out from the Comox lake, which gets it’s water from the Vancouver mountain range and Comox glacier. Fun place to hang around. If you look closely, you can see some folks chilling in a shallow pocket mid stream. Likely to be cold I would imagine and somewhat dangerous, not really my kind of fun. My fun is photographing others having their kind of fun you might say lol. Thanks for stopping by.

The beauty of the sea lies in its waves. They keep dancing within the ocean making a shore.

Excellent photography

Nice and beautiful pictures as always, may looking at the river, it seems like someone can't enter there for having fun in terms of swimming.

Swimming is likely not possible, but a few there playing in the water.

Lovely pictures, I'm also on your same boat, I like that brutal stream, to photograph it only of course not to go there with a boat.. These pictures remind me this I made some weeks ago

Sure is pretty though! I imagine in the real shallow spots with no current there isn't much danger, but deeper with lot of current is asking for trouble. I agree, as a general rule playing around rapids is a very bad idea. A great way to get yourself killed though!

Yep, not into taking risk like that. Calculated risk, maybe.
