Back to Trailhead

Heading back to trailhead, something one does with every single excursion or hike. To your destination and back, unless you are doing a loop hike. Another hike down, another notch on my hiking belt so to speak. By this point in time, I have probably done over 50 decent hikes in and around western Canada. This hike here to Crandell Lake was good, but not one of the best. I would rate it at about a 6.5/10. Some good views, but nothing outstanding, but still certainly worthwhile doing. Thanks for stopping by.

The scenery is truly stunning, with the calm green trees on the ground and the leafless branches reaching toward the sky

The views are good, even though those "burned" trees are kinda sad

I think you rated it 6.5 because the view was monotonous, nothing interesting to shoot, nothing spectacular to focus on and didn't had that breathtaking elevation and all that.

You are about right. Of course when I compare it too some of the other stuff I've done, like: Lake Louise or Moraine lake, it is a well deserved 6.5/10.

Crandell Lake’s worth it even if it’s not your absolute best.
