The last one.... All the best :-)
As you all maybe aware, I was given a telescope earlier on in 2022, I've not had it out as much as I'd have liked to due to the weather, but I managed to get some shots from the other night where we had a bit of a clear spell.
I have realised that the scope is ideal for planets and the moon (one of my favourite subjects), but not so good for deep sky objects etc, so I do have my mind set on a new scope with a tracking mount, however that will be in the future due to the price of them.
After discussing astronomy with one of my friends, he gave me a few tips as to get the best out of the scope. The initial thought of using the scope only as the lens sadly didn't quite work as I think I need a different adaptor for my camera to acquire focus, so instead I opted to use a 2x Barlow lens with the scope to get these shots with my camera.
I have to admit, I am more than happy with these shots, not quite as focussed as I'd like, but I need a different focussing mount for that, and you are looking at (minimum) £500, so I think these will do for now.
It's fantastic looking through the view finder and seeing the moon in such detail, I wish I could replicate it on camera, but using different lenses with the naked eye, it can't be done with the equipment I have at the moment.
However I am sure you'll agree that these shots really do give you a new take on how the moon looks in such close proximity.
Anyhow, this will be the last post for me in 2022, it's almost 9pm on the 31st of December and 2023 is upon us, so whatever you do, I wish you all a very happy new year, and all the best for 2023, let's hope it's a great year for us all.
Peace.

These are pretty amazing shots!
Thank you ever so much 😁
All the shots you have taken are amazing. I am also very interested in space related things. Whenever I get a chance, I try to learn more about it.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks ever so much, I love space related stuff too, although I am a complete beginner when it comes to telescopes.
Impressive !
Dear @darrenflinders,
Our previous proposal expired end of December and the Hivebuzz project is not funded anymore. May we ask you to review and support our new proposal (https://peakd.com/me/proposals/248)?
Thank you for your help!
