The Storm That Rocked Brisbane ⚡

What. A. Day.
If you were anywhere near Brisbane over the past week, you know what I mean — the sky turned that eerie green-grey, the wind picked up, and then came the hail, thunder, and absolute madness.
Tropical storms are wierd like that... you know its comming and seconds before the wind goes crazy and you go... oh shit... and run for cover and moments later all hell breaks loose.

THATS a tropical heat storm.. lol

I was ducking in and out of the house trying to grab a few photos in between lightning flashes and trying to fish sticks out of the pool in hopes that it MIGHT not go green for when the storms subside.
Honestly, the light was wild — that strange purple that makes everything look cinematic and a little apocalyptic. we had it all. the bolt lighting, the loud lightening, the sort of purple "shelf" lightening when its just the lightening behind the clouds so the whole sky is purple.

Perfect for photos, terrible for power lines. My husbands work lost power twice, luckily we are quite often on a grid that the box simply does not go out very often (and have underground power not power lines) the other side of out suburb goes out every time it storms... well mostly.

I didn't really have much time for photos... and also... not the safest being out in a storm.. at one point i nearly got blown away in the hail.. or ending up in ED with concussion... it was wild...

i was too busy trying to stand up to get photos...

and apparently i SUCK at lightening photos... lol

Challenge Update 🐝

I’m still going strong (I think!) on the HiveBuzz Monthly Posting Challenge.
This should count as Day 4, assuming the timezone gods and HiveBuzz servers are on my side.

I’m honestly having fun with it — I thought posting daily would be stressful, but it’s been kind of freeing.
It’s forced me to just write, without overthinking. Im really bad at mulling things over for hours... and i simply can't...

If you’re curious about the challenge, it’s simple: one post a day (UTC days, not Aussie ones), and you get a neat little badge at the end of the month.
For me, it’s more about consistency — and reconnecting with Hive after being semi-AWOL for a while.
