Star photo

I also have a GPS unit for my Pentax KP without which I can't imagine shooting nature.
But it can also continuously adjust the chip to track the movement of the stars in the sky. This means that they are not blurred stars in the photo.

Ke svému Pentaxu KP mám i GPS jednotku bez které si focení přírody ani nedovedu představit.
Umí ale také plynule nastavovat chip tak, aby sledoval pohyb hvězd na obloze. To znamená, že na fotce nejsou hvězdy rozmazané.

This is unintentional, but the tracking didn't work and this photo was taken.

Tohle je neúmyslné, ale sledování nepracovalo a vznikla takováto fotka.

Ve srovnání s "rozmazanou" to vypadá takto.
Compared to "blurry" it looks like this.

Výřez z předchozího záběru. Hvězda je nejspíš Altair, bohužel jsem si to nenapsal.

Taky jsem fotil Jupiter. Ten je na obloze velmi nápadný a jsou vidět i jeho měsíce.

I took pictures of Jupiter, too. It's very prominent in the sky and you can see its moons.

The moon doesn't run so fast in the sky and is too bright. I took this one without an astrotracker (that's what it's called).

Bylo to zajímavé večerní focení, ale podmínky jsou v Česku mizerné. Města a vesnice mají osvětlení a to ničí oblohu. Prostě "světelný smog".
Jo, to v Kalahari, tam byla úžasná obloha...
Na druhou stranu jsem se potmě bál lvů. A že jich tam bylo dost a dost.

It was an interesting evening shoot, but the conditions are lousy in the Czech Republic. Towns and villages have lighting and it ruins the sky. Just "light smog".
Yeah, it was in the Kalahari, there was a great sky...
On the other hand, I was afraid of lions in the dark. And there were lots and lots of them.
