Sublime Sunday with Moss Rose aka Portulaca grandiflora, wonderfully fascinating and truly beautiful. Enjoy Watching!

That one flower which has great affinity towards Sun God and sunlight is Sun Rose aka Moss Rose. Soft, gentle and tender petals that are very delicate and thin, very small cute little flower, resembles to Rose and carries all the attributes of one magnificent, captivating and fabulous flower that looks outstandingly fascinating.

Its Botanical name is: Portulaca grandiflora

IMG-20250713-WA0005.jpg

Though it has quite a few other names such as eleven o’ clock, Mexican rose, Moss Rose, but Sun Rose suits it pretty well.

IMG-20250713-WA0004.jpg

This tiny little flower around 2.5cm in diameter when it fully blooms and blossoms, with some totally vivid and vibrant, stunning and superb colours that look brilliantly bright to the eyes and then there are subtle colours such as light pink that looks amazing. See it all by yourself and be totally amazed and absolutely bedazzled.

IMG-20250713-WA0024.jpg

The magnetic enchantment around Moss Rose is truly enthralling and certainly time bound.

IMG-20250713-WA0023.jpg

The drama around its blooming process unfolds in the morning after sunrays shines, it's the time for Sun Rose to blossom and starts it's magical process of gradually blooming during the daylight as the sun shines bright.

IMG-20250713-WA0022.jpg

Somehow Sun Rose seems to be desperately waiting for this moment to happen so that it can unfold its magical charm and magnetic charisma.

IMG-20250713-WA0021.jpg

Its bright pink colours are super attractive to the eyes, holding great attention the moment you look at them.

IMG-20250713-WA0020.jpg

Magenta, white, pink, yellow, orange are the colours that it blooms in and shows its charismatic beauty to the flower lovers and #nature admirers in the most magnificent way.

IMG-20250713-WA0019.jpg

Just around the late afternoon, they are rather more quick to rapidly fold and close it's petals and wrap up the magical show and wait for the next day to start the same show yet again, gracefully.

IMG-20250713-WA0018.jpg

I have captured several wonderful pictures taken by me and they really look truly impressive and amazing.

IMG-20250713-WA0016.jpg

Nature has so much to offer to humanity and it keeps surprising and impressing all of us, daily with its marvelous and wonderful creativities.

IMG-20250713-WA0015.jpg

Quite interestingly they start pretty early much before the dawn as if preparing themselves precisely to bloom just at the right time.

IMG-20250713-WA0017.jpg

Despite being somewhat cloudy they get an indication from the sun to immediately start blossoming at the onset of the sunlight and as soon as they feel the vibe of first sunrays appearing.

IMG-20250713-WA0014.jpg

Extremely... surprising that by 1pm or at maximum 2pm they have done their job to beautifully bloom and blossom and are now ready to furl back.

IMG-20250713-WA0013.jpg

It really amuses and amazes me how precisely time bound their blooming process is, seriously.

IMG-20250713-WA0012.jpg

The next time you see them and plan to observe them, watch them carefully, see how particular and defined their blooming process is, I am totally filled with joy and surprise at the same time.

IMG-20250713-WA0010.jpg

Another surprising thing I personally noticed and critically observed and analyzed that they bloom only for few hours and that too just once and their blossoming cycle is over and they wither.

IMG-20250713-WA0025.jpg

Nature has given them just one chance to brightly and beautifully bloom and blossom with all their strength and glory, for once only that too for few hours and they really deliver their best. Such is life and the next day they are gone, they wither. Then other buds take up the duty to bloom wonderfully. This unending cycle continues and Moss Rose keeps on blossoming.

IMG-20250713-WA0008.jpg

These Moss Rose #flowers that live for few hours that there life! Within those specified hours by Mother Nature they love to live the fullest.

IMG-20250713-WA0011.jpg

Pretty ironically though and absolutely unbelievable to understand that Mother Nature has given this #flower such a short span of life that lasts only for few hours.

IMG-20250713-WA0009.jpg

They are buds in the morning say around 7am-8am and start to beautifully bloom and blossom around 11am, stay fully bloomed round 12 noon and around 1pm they start to close and by 2pm -3pm they have done their job and now ready to wrap up the show... around 4pm they are gone, closed.

IMG-20250713-WA0006.jpg

Unbelievably, I am totally amused and strangely amazed to see the strangest strategy and behaviour of Mother Nature.

Yes, it blooms only for few hours and then closes forever to wither. I was sad when I personally noticed and observed this on my own, such a life of this beautiful little cute flower and Mother Nature's strategies.

Thank you so much! @ace108 for stopping by.

Best Regards:)
