Budapest - There and back again (Image heavy)

Hello, everyone in the community, happy to be writing here again! If you have followed my previous posts, you know I've been exploring the beautiful cities of Budapest and Prague. It was my first time in Czech Republic and 7th in Hungary.

I have plenty of photos left from Budapest that I didn't share so I thought I'll post it in this community. The city has always fascinated me and so I keep coming back. It is always alive and full of people, but not too crowded or loud (something that bothered me a bit in Prague). It's welcoming and exudes positive atmosphere.

People are chill and seems like never in a hurry. You'll see them sitting in parks or jogging and cycling through city's well organized streets and tracks. Metro and tram lines keep the traffic functional and pleasurable experience unlike most of modern cities.

Hungarian cuisine is a delicious mix of Balkan and Mediterranean food, with some must-try dishes like Goulash, Chimney Cake, Langos or their tasty wines.

And of course, rich history and how it's reflected in architecture. There are so many beautiful monuments that can rival anything in the world with its beauty, like the Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, Chain Bridge or Fisherman's Bastion.

It's a great city for street photography with all these beautiful backdrops, Danube river flowing through the heart of the city and people who are stylish and know how to have fun. Hope you enjoy this photos taken with Fuji X-Pro2 and 35mm lens.

Wow wonderful pictures. The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the most impressive buildings in Budapest. It is a neo-Gothic masterpiece that took over 100 years to complete.
Great post loved the pictures.. keep posting :)

Thank you! Indeed, I've never seen a building as majestic as their Parliament. Incredible!

Yeah, lángos and goulash are a must when someone wants to taste Hungarian cuisine. Cool selection of photos, the couple dancing on the street - super nice. But then the girl meditation on the tree.. wow??

That limo king... I think I would stick to the public transport :D

Too bad I'm vegan for the past three years so I can't try all of their yummy stuff. :D
The girl meditating is a friend haha, so it's not really a street shot, but still a nice photo. :D
It was some dancing festival, behind the couple there's a stage where everyone is practically dancing. I have some video footage but it's hard to upload here.

I am not sure if there is maybe a vegan goulash :D Maybe made of mushrooms, actually, my mom mentioned to me a few days ago that they made something like that, of mushrooms.
Oh, a friend who was meditating on the tree... but it was cool anyway. Some months ago in Valencia, I saw a girl in Turia Park practising rope yoga, hanging from one of the bridges. That was random but I am not a photographer as you 😁

You gave me a great idea, will definitely try to make the vegan version with mushrooms. :) It's interesting when you see those people who can train/relax in public and not be affected by the outside world.
Sometimes I practice Tai Chi or learn sword forms in busy places like Kalemegdan or Ada. :D Although in general I'm not comfortable with people watching me.

Love how you mix scenic shots with details and people, especially the people!! How do you get them in those moments? It seems all natural but like the perfect moment to capture them, I enjoyed watching!!:)

So sorry that I'm just now getting to this comment!

Capturing people in interesting moments is a skill that develops over time. Good street photographer learns the behavior of people so he is able to anticipate, what will they do next, how will they move so he knows how to position, what settings to use etc.

I'm so glad you liked the photos! I like mixing people and the environment like this. :)
