A Sunday Morning Stroll with the Camera
Good to see you again, photography lovers! Here is the next episode in our street explorations. The mornings are getting colder here indicating the forthcoming autumn. I am the person who enjoys beach and warm weather but there is something about autumn that lights me up inside. Visually it's a beautiful time to walk outside and create photographs. But let's enjoy the remaining summer days, I'll walk you through the photographs individually.
The moon was very prominent on a clear sky and I noticed the pigeon on a street light so I tried to combine them in a composition. There was also the plane as a third element, I missed the focus when it was closer to these two so this will do. Longer lens would have helped in this situation.
Sorry but I had to. :D Looks like pilots have been goofing around in the air so I tried to give it a go as well. Clear sky turned into a cloudy day very quickly.
The light is very interesting in this spot. It's coming from the left, very low cause it's early in the morning and it's illuminating people nicely. Bad thing is the bus is pointing the same way so people are turned opposite to the light except on the few seats that look back, or those standing. I will definitely try again at this location, it's on my way anyway.
It's Sunday morning so there isn't a lot of people out. This parking lot was nicely hit by the morning sun. There was no walkers around, only this awesome car at the end of the passage.
On the left you can see the Church of Saint Marko, and on the right the main post office. The park is in front of a Parliament building. The dog was playing around, let loose by his owner. I love this position that create the halo effect around the dog.
I really like this location and light coming from above through the roof. Unfortunately there's no one around to put them in the composition. I'll have to come back again on a week day. Keeping mental notes of places that need revisiting is very important in street photography.
This was taken through bus window. A patch of light surrounded by shadow and interesting person with the hat walking by. Again, sun comes from behind which is unfortunate, I would have explored the composition more, but the bus quickly moved along.
I thought there might me some opportunity to be playful with this man carrying a leaf blower that looks like a flame thrower but the composition simply wasn't there.
I was listening to music on the headphones - usually I don't do it cause I want to be fully alert on the streets, and I didn't notice a gang of young men about to start a fight right next to me. Last night's drinking plus some girl issues as I understood, they were yelling and going at each other. Someone called the police which came quickly to the scene and took some of them away.
Here I like different shades of light the most. Softer at certain positions, harsher on others, complete dark on the rest - it gives the image depth. Of course I tried to include a silhouette of a person.
Anyone would wish for a subject like this, isn't it?! :) What a cool looking lady with her hat. I saw and followed here for maybe 100 meters until she stepped into a patch of light. I love the first image more and the way she is half illuminated.
Early mornings in Knez Mihailova street are reserved for workers cleaning and preparing their store before the customers start coming in later.
Sun hitting directly through the windows of a closed cafe. It would have been much more interesting if there's a person inside but I don't think it will ever happen at the same time.
Capturing the eye contact of a subject with camera adds another layer to the photo. This approach is very fun, you basically frame the shot and then wait until they look your way. I may explore this technique further - many great photographers created banger shots like this. It's a bit more confrontational approach although it's easier when they are in separate space like the bus.
I'm re-returning to this location which I shot previously cause I like the light and I'm trying to find the perfect timing.
That's all for this time. I hope you enjoyed some of the photographs. :) Until next time.
Beautiful shots!!
May I know what camera do you use here?,/
My favorite is the photo with a lady wearing sunglasses in a purple blouse..and the photo with the dog ☺️
!PIZZA
That is my favorite as well!
Great shot!
Good choice, thank you! :)
You are welcome
Thank you very much! I use the Fuji X-Pro2 and 35mm F/2 lens. The camera is a classic for street photography. :)

lovely shots, i smiled when i saw the clouds with x and 0
I hate it when they ruin the sky like that so I thought at least let's be funny. :D
😂😂😂
Awesome idea 😁
Though that's a lot of planes that were flying over there...
{my sister was small when my parents just bought a new, red "Pobednik Vremena" R4 and she drew those X's and O's on it with a little stone 😬😂}
All of them, of course 😎
Such beautiful, clear skies and they draw all over it. :/ I always wonder where are they on those rare occasions when the sky is clean. :D
Hahaha your sister had a sense of humor as well. 🤣 I totally forgot about that old classic Renault. :D
Thank you very much!
Well, the pilots are on strike on those occasions 😂
getting very cold there, not that healthy
Warm and cold, it's all good, part of the changing seasons.
Dog in the park an awesome capture, lady in straw hat another with half light half shadow further away both interesting with lighting.

Thank you very much! The lady with the hat my favorite from the day.
Agreed by far the best capture! Have a great day!
Great shots! 📸
How do you handle photographing someone looking your way like the ladies who looked directly at you? Doesn't it bother you they might like to be photographed?
I am struggling to be this bold, I admire your boldness.
Normally I don't do it and I try not to be in people's faces. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. But it's all about the energy - when I'm positive and want to take a genuine photo cause I like the moment, then I trust the feeling is conveyed and the other person sees it as a sign of playfulness and gratitude. It's all about the photographer's intent.
Energy, the positive state of mind, and the moment, all make sense and should produce great results which is evident from your shots. Thanks, these will be of help to me.
You follow a lady with her hat....
Didn't she notice you that you follow her. If someone follow me I notice that she/he follow me and I asked her/him why you follow me??😂😂
Sun hit with window awesome scene 😍
Hahaha logical question - it's a big city with crowded streets (although not su much in the morning). People walk in the same direction through main streets, I followed the lady for maybe 100 meters until she dived into an interesting light. It's not like I was chasing her around the side alleys. :D
Sometimes it happens to us that we get lost in our own deep thought while constantly looking at someone.
It is also the case that one becomes so engrossed in their work that they does not pay attention to anything else and does not care what other people are doing.

All photos are very beautiful and informative. The Church of St. Mark, in the photo looks especially beautiful and impressive. Your work can be leafed through all day, the impressive energy of a creative person. Ordinary city life begins to look in a more attractive perspective. Thank you very much for your hard work and patience. Creative success to you.
That's a wonderful compliment, thank you very much! I do try to make ordinary scenes look good and also hunt for some extraordinary moments. :)
