Minimalist recharging tips
Greetings!
Recharging oneself and even involving family can be very simple and low-cost, without pulling down one's net worth to achieve that.Yesterday, while scrolling on Facebook, I came across a post about a very wealthy man in Nigeria who recently celebrated his 50th birthday. In the photo, he was on a yacht sailing in the middle of a very large sea. In the comments, while some wished him a belated happy birthday, others wished they could have such an outing to recharge.
The thing is, no one would object to such a moment to unwind and recharge, but financing matters a lot—especially when one has a lot to cater to with respect to family needs and when the finances are limited.
As I once wrote about a particular beach in my hometown, which is located on our street, entrance to the place requires a fee. However, I often go there without paying a dime due to the privilege of being a resident on the street and being known by the owner of the beach. When I was at home, and even anytime I visit, I still go there to unwind free of charge. I only pay when I meet new faces at the gate or when the woman who owns the place is not visible from the gate stand.
Picking a spot from the vast area of land gives a premium sense of relaxation. Sitting on a chair in a corner while watching people walk to and fro and seeing others swimming in the river relaxes the brain and the mind. On days when the place is not crowded—often Mondays and Tuesdays—I get to enjoy the peacefulness of the clean water body and observe fishes that come out to enjoy the rays of sunlight, only to dart back immediately once the water is disturbed by human presence.
Apart from this, I also swim, although it has been a very long time since I last did that.
Playing Ludo or Whot:
This used to happen frequently in the days when phones were not as widespread as they are today. However, this still happens in my home even now. Playing Ludo or Whot is a fun activity that helps relax the brain and recharge, especially because of the cracking moments that result in laughter. This costs absolutely nothing. It is a fun way of bringing the family together to enjoy quality time without the need to go out and spend money to have fun.
For those familiar with these games, some parts require a bit of slight critical thinking, which adds to the fun and also helps the mind to relax—even though the brain is being tested in the process of trying to beat the opponents.
Apart from these, having my alone time can be very fun-filled for me especially with music and the karaoke thing which I only do in my closet and can't be seen or heard by the public because it can be very awkward 😅.
Thanks for reading.
This is my entry to #Kiss writing prompt.

So you know how to play Ludo and white 😂😂
I would like to hear you sing one of these days. Let me be the judge of whether it was awkward or not😂😂
Seems crazy to me to make you pay to enter that beach, so it's good you found a way to get around that :) I'd say you have very sound and real ways of unwinding that aren't impacted by the financial/material aspect of life. Good on you!

Nice one there. From the beach down to the games. And to listen to world class musics. It really a good recharge method. I also enjoyed both Ludo and what game too.
I cannot trade my me-time and when I needed to tag my family along, we usually go for a budget friendly option and still get to enjoy ourselves without breaking the bank.
Just that view worth anything trouble. Gosh, that will be just fine with me
Simple and easy to pull off without unnecessary spending 👍👍
You just remind me of something I have been willing to ask people abroad. Like do they also pay to visit the beach because it's just clear extortion to me.
I love your routine man, I also play ludo very well. I will check for a virtual multiplayer and link up with you.
It's funny how I haven't thought of engaging the virtual multiplayer thing.
In this world of technology, almost everything is possible.😅
