15,500 steps, and I’m running on fumes

15,500 steps on the counter today. Sounds impressive, but honestly? I’m not proud of myself – not because I did too little, but because I did too much… running on empty.

It was one of those days that completely drain you, even though – objectively speaking – the kids were mostly well-behaved. They followed the rules, didn’t tear the classroom apart, no one sculpted a classmate out of modeling clay. And still… I’m exhausted. Like my body and mind are just done. As if they’re whispering, “Patrycja, just hang on a bit longer... just a little more…”

I can feel it in every bone: I desperately need a vacation. Just two more days and the weekend, then four more workdays, and finally – a whole month for myself and my family. I swear, the closer I get to time off, the harder it is to function. It’s like my body knows the break is near – and it’s already getting ready to collapse.

Today’s steps came from a day at preschool and a walk with my husband – which was a lovely evening moment – but even so, I came home and collapsed face-first.

Not sure if I’m coming down with something or just completely worn out. Either way – rest and sleep are the priority tonight.

Na liczniku 15 i pół tysiąca kroków. Niby piękny wynik, ale szczerze? Dziś nie jestem z siebie dumna – nie dlatego, że zrobiłam za mało, ale dlatego, że zrobiłam za dużo... na oparach.

To był jeden z tych dni, które wypompowują człowieka do cna, mimo że – obiektywnie patrząc – dzieci były całkiem okej. Przestrzegały zasad, nie rozniosły sali, nikt nie wytapetował kolegi plasteliną. A jednak... jestem wyczerpana. Jakby moje ciało i umysł miały już dosyć. Jakby mówiły: "Patrycja, jeszcze tylko trochę... jeszcze wytrzymaj...".

Z każdą godziną coraz bardziej czuję, że urlop jest pilnie potrzebny. Jeszcze dwa dni i weekend, potem cztery dni pracy... i wreszcie miesiąc dla siebie i rodziny. W głowie odliczanie, w ciele alarm. Mam wrażenie, że im bliżej wolnego, tym trudniej zebrać się w sobie. Jakby ciało wiedziało, że za chwilę będzie mogło się rozpaść – i już się na to szykuje.

Dzisiejsze kroki to efekt dnia w przedszkolu i spaceru z mężem, który był miłym akcentem wieczoru – ale i tak wróciłam do domu i padłam na twarz.

Nie wiem, czy coś mnie rozbiera, czy to po prostu wyczerpanie materiału. Tak czy inaczej – dziś priorytetem jest sen i odpoczynek.

Dobranoc wszystkim. Dbajcie o siebie. Słuchajcie swojego ciała, zanim zacznie krzyczeć.
