Sun and Laser on Ice and Water - My Actifit Report Card: January 20th, 2026

A frosty morning at around -5 degrees, but at least dry and only slightly windy. The Tiergarten route was long overdue, so I went there again today. I encountered the usual birds along the way and was surprised to see two swans taking off from the Landwehr Canal. As expected, almost everything in the Tiergarten is still frozen solid, including the Neuer See. The Unterschleusen shiplock weir cleared my head again with it‘s noisy water, and I took the opportunity to doodle on it a little with the laser and capture the whole thing with a long exposure. Of course, I brought that back for you, along with the sunrise and a few impressions of the ice.
Ein frostiger Morgen bei rund -5grad, aber immerhin trocken und nur leicht windig. Die Tiergartrenroute war längst überfällig und daher bin ich die heute mal wieder gegangen. Die üblichen Vögel sind mir unterwegs begegnet und ich durfte überraschend zwei Schwäne beim durchstarten in den Flug aus dem Landwehrkanal beobachten. Erwartungsgemäß ist im Tiergarten auch fast alles noch gut durchgefroren inklusive dem Neuen See. Das Unterschleusenwehr hat mir wieder schön den Kopf freigerauscht und bei der Gelegenheit hab ich dort ein wenig mit dem Laser drin rumgekritzelt und das Ganze mit einer Langzeitbelichtung festgehalten. Das hab ich euch natürlich mitgebracht, zusammen mit dem Sonnenaufgang und ein paar Eisimpressionen.
