Recovery Day 3 - no more pain... my training diary entry from June 9 2026

Hi Actifitters,
naturally, there isn't much to report on the athletic front for the time being, as it will be quite a while before I can exercise again. Recovering from a muscle strain simply takes time, and I intend to give my body the time it needs to heal completely.
I’m happy to say that I’m more or less pain-free now. There are still a few movements that are uncomfortable, but on the whole, I’m very satisfied. However, I still limp whenever I try to take larger steps. Small steps (I made 12k yesterday) are fine again - just like before.
I have to say, I miss cycling training the most—especially since it is clear that I won't be getting back in the saddle anytime soon. However, in the coming days, I do want to try doing some upper-body exercises that don't put any strain on the injured muscles.
Today, I’ll be content with just a few steps again. But that’s okay, because it’s nice for a change to simply lie on the sofa and watch series without feeling guilty. I haven’t done that in a long time.
