My first rides on Zwift... my training diary entry from February 9 2026

(We needed ice cleats for the first few meters of our tour up the Breitenstein. Strangely enough, they became less and less important the closer we got to the summit. I would have expected the exact opposite.)

Hi Actifitters,

on Sunday I created a Zwift account, and yesterday I rode my first kilometers in Watopia, a fictional virtual world.

Because it was so much fun, I rode four routes and covered a total of 60 kilometers.

Today I have to go to the doctor to get a tick vaccination. If the doctor gives the go-ahead, I'll continue exploring Zwift later.

I thought ticks could not survive in the snow. 😳

Zwift account, Watopia… you’ve got me researching again! Haha. Just for general knowledge, because where I live there isn’t even an internet connection. If you saw the conditions in which I get online, you wouldn’t believe it.
