17 km walk with a friends dog and 12 k missing steps - October 10 2025

(The next picture from our Zugspitze hike. Here I nearly passed the boulder field. It was the most difficult part of the tour.)

Hi everybody,

today the Actifit app did not count the first 12k steps and I have no idea why. 😒
Hope it will not happen too often.

As i said in yesterdays report I had to take care a friends dog and we have been in nature for a 17 kilometer walk. Garmin counted around 23k steps.

For many people the picture only shows a cloudy heaven with some birds, but I love these small moments in nature.

Here you can see my friends dog on one of many green trails on our walk.

Thats it for now.
Looking forward to my pull-ups workout tomorrow. Let's see if I can do 2 in a row. 😜

Be kind to each other and keep moving!

Congrats for the hike, it looks amazing !INDEED

Android or Apple? With Apple you can have Apple Health as primary app and connect Actifit with it.

On Android, the app is shitty. Especially if your phone has some battery saving features enabled that hinder Actifit from counting steps.

To be honest, when I was on Xiaomi phones, I couldn't force Actifit to work properly.

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi @ervin-lemark,
    thanks for your reply.
I have the shitty solution. 😜 However, today everything looks fine again... kind of strange. Maybe its mandatory to start the app once before starting with activity.
Hope the Actifit devs have plans to support Garmin gadgets and other smart watches in the future. There are too many kinds of sport where you really dont want to have your phone with you.
Sweeping the floor, on the other hand, is an activity where the cell phone does not interfere. 😁

I think the app is more stable these days but it mostly depends on battery saver setting of phones. Because I don't believe that core code of the app was changed in any way for many years. There is no development. Not to mention ugly interface. Sorry to say that but ...

Another thing that hinders me the most from using actifit - you can't withdraw your $AFIT from the app to Hive-Engine easily and without limits.

OK, enough of bickering. I am using it solely because of #poprzeczka. And, yes, I don't want to take the phone everywhere, toilet included, all the time. One tracking device on me is enough !LOLZ

Come to that, there is research to switch to other, more reliable sources. Read this: https://ecency.com/poprzeczka/@racibo/prace-nad-poprzeczka-projekt-poprzeczka

We'll see how will this initiative turn out. Comparing to other Hive community members in a way of counting steps and gamifying it a bit is a fun way to use the platform.

    Have a great Sunday.

The Android app really looks like there has nothing been developed for years. Hopefully somethin will happen in the future because actifity tracking could become an interesting feature to make the blockchain more succsessful in the future.

Since the AFIT tokens currently don't have much value anyway, this isn't that important to me. However, I've also noticed that you can only transfer a maximum of 500 tokens to the engine per day without further requirements.

Thanks for the tip about #poprzeczka. This gives me hope that I'll soon be able to go swimming without my phone in my swim shorts. ;-)

Wish you also a great Sunday!
