Tracks!…….My Actifit Report Card: November 13 2025

So before anyone asks or comments-no, it has not snowed here yet. I’m pulling out archived photos for this post. 😎❄️

Tracks, especially in the snow, are everywhere! Tracks can be in mud as we’ve tracked deer on our hikes before because of their distinctive hoof prints.

In the snow though, you get a different perspective of critters. Take that first picture for instance. So delicate looking are the birdie prints. Yet this fellow would not leave such dainty prints in the snow!

Then, there’s canine prints, although I don’t think Phoenix has any plans to make more! She looks too cold to move, lol!

However, she’s raring to go in this one! This one’s got fish prints! 😁

Now here’s a critter of a different species for sure…. Or should I say it’s prints.

Here’s another from a different one.

Sometimes you get ‘lamb prints……

…..and other times, you get people prints.

However, nothing is as exciting or exhilarating as these prints!

No- not from Cot the baby mountain lion!

These are from a much, much bigger kitty! In this next photo, you see two sets of smaller prints going uphill and one larger set coming downhill!

I remember this hike because at first, we didn’t notice the two sets together. When we got to a narrow part of the trail surrounded by underbrush, we decided to turn around because it soon became apparent that it was hard to distinguish on that narrow trail, just who was following who! 🙀

I’m looking forward to snow here this winter so we can see the creatures who are around that we normally don’t know just how close they are!

!LOLZ it hasn't hit here just yet......we're getting lots of rain but no snow. I went back through my 15,000+ photos on my phone looking for snow pics with tracks of various animals or things. We have cougars here and often run into their tracks when it snows. When there's no snow, we know they see us, but we don't know exactly where they are, lol! It's an interesting dance.

Haha, true! Though I think I’d prefer an adrenaline rush on a rollercoaster than from meeting a cougar 😅 Still, it must be an unforgettable experience to see such a wild animal in real life!

You made me smile! I don't know as it's so much forecasting as just thinking about our feline friends in the wild and how you can sort of know where they are when it snows. Otherwise, you just hope they don't surprise you! Take care sis! It will be here soon enough I imagine! !HOPE

All of these pics were past storms and snow. I was thinking about tracking the cougars (or maybe they track us, lol). The thing is, they are around all the time; we just never get to see the evidence! Thanks for stopping by my friend and enjoy the weekend! !LADY

We don't get that much snow here very often i really love snow , i just don't like the cold that comes with it .
