Up here people are concerned about those kind of trees. If we get strong winter winds, they can topple!😳
Well if they're close to a house, that's understandable.
I just had one tree come down a couple days ,back where I was splitting firewood about a foot diameter!😮

Was it a dry tree or a healthy one just being damaged?
This tree was a decaying tree back in our forest…..
In the winter time with rain the root system loosens up and then the winds come and can take down trees very dangerous!
One of the drawbacks to the Pacific Northwest is the root systems are shallow because of winter rain, and they can come down easily!🙄
That's one thing I don't like, there should be NO rain in the winter, winter should be reserved only for snow. :))
That would be very nice. I miss the deep snow of the mountains of Colorado that we lived in years ago.👍😊
