My Actifit Report Card: July 30 2026 (rainy day it was!)

What a rainy day it was!

If I look back, it's been raining almost every day since I got back here, and I can't deny that the cold that came with it has been something else. I couldn't go out much because it lasted until dusk—though thankfully, it wasn't as heavy as it was on Tuesday.

In the morning, I headed out toward the toll gate in the rain. I normally wouldn't step out in such weather, but a man's gotta put food on the table—though I wasn't speaking for myself this time. I just escorted my dad to catch a Zafira vehicle to his workplace in Ogun State.


The scenery was quite noisy with all those trailers around. We could hardly find transport with free seats available, even in the rain—guess that's just the weather's doing. Luckily, a Sienna vehicle heading to Oyo State stopped and picked up my dad. He later told me it was super convenient and even cheaper than the other cabs, where he'd have been packed like sardines.

While out in the rain that morning, I decided to grab some fried puff-puff—it was delicious and quite satisfying. I also spotted a local kitchen, but I knew my mum's food was still waiting for me at home, so I passed on it, as always. I can't remember the last time I thought of going to an eatery—mentioning that would almost be an insult to my mum, who swears by homemade meals. Honestly, I prefer homemade food too. As they say, there's no place like home.

Got home, did a little work, and spent the rest of the day reading a manga. I also kept working on my comic page—though I had a tough time deciding on image size. Every time I tried making the pages a vertical scroll format (720x20000px), the images came out blurry. Guess I'll stick with A4 format for now and make it more manga-like once I see how things go when I upload them.
