This digital transformation work on my photographs is an evolution of what I showed in previous publications which I called “TWO BY TWO” and the change of name obviously responds to the fact that this time I was working based on triptychs in which I show the original photograph along with a digitally altered version using blender brushes, oil painting simulation filters, wave distortion tools, pinwheels, perspectives and others that Photoshop has for the purpose of serving to alter images. What is new in this series of works which I share with you today is the addition of a third version, something that I would like to call an “evolution” of photography to a more abstract and artistic point in which the chromaticism decreases and other characteristics of the image emerge as the main protagonists... I ask you to please continue with this publication and enjoy this work...

Este trabajo de transformación digital con mis fotografías es una evolución de lo mostrado en publicaciones previas las cuales llamaba "TWO BY TWO" y el cambio de nombre obedece obviamente a el hecho de que esta vez estuve trabajando basado en trípticos en los cuales muestro la fotografía original junto a una versión digitalmente alterada utilizando brochas de licuado, filtros de simulación de pintura al oleo, herramientas de distorsión de onda, molinetes, perspectivas y otros más que tiene Photoshop a efectos de servir para alterar imágenes. Lo nuevo que tiene esta serie de trabajos la cual comparto hoy con ustedes es la adición de una tercera versión, algo que me gustaría llamar una "evolución" de la fotografía a un punto más abstracto y artístico en el cual el cromatismo disminuye y surgen otras características de la imagen como protagonistas principales... I based my work on raw photographs of natural motifs captured yesterday during one of my walks in the hills around my village. I found that these types of photographs are a bit more complicated to work with than the close-up or macro type on which I had based my previous digital transformation work. However, that same complexity prompted me to create third, less chromatic versions of each photo, in which I tried to generate more visual impact based on reliefs and structures formed by lines and curves. I did this with Photoshop texture and engraving filters and in some cases with PhotoScape. I confess to have had a lot of fun creating this third type of evolved images and also to have been pleasantly surprised to see how far I can go creating them with some simple tools and a handful of time invested.

Me basé en fotografías inéditas de motivos naturales capturadas el día de ayer durante una de mis caminatas a las colinas alrededor de mi pueblo. Me encontré con que este tipo de fotografías son un poco más complicadas de trabajar que otras de tipo close-up o macro sobre las cuales había basado mis trabajos anteriores de transformación digital. Sin embargo, esa misma complejidad me impulsó a crear terceras versiones menos cromáticas de cada foto, en las cuales procuré generar mayor impacto visual basado en relieves y estructuras formadas por líneas y curvas. Esto lo hice con filtros de textura y grabado de Photoshop y en algunos caso con PhotoScape. Confieso haberme divertido un montón creando este tercer tipo de imágenes evolucionadas y también haberme sorprendido gratamente al mirar hasta donde puedo llegar creando con algunas herramientas simples y un puñado de tiempo invertido.

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
