Lightpainting as medication - Lightpainting on Hive

Hi,

Happy Easter to ya'll πŸ˜ƒ

I'm struggling into life atm, facing injuries, unemployment without any income and depression.

Photography has always been the beacon in the dark so I began doing lightpainting again starting from last night. I'll try to do it as often as possible during the following weeks as I'm convinced it will help me to recover and smile again.

For a gentle restart, I visited a bridge 3km away from my home. I've been there by foot as walking is a good way for me to ease the pain in my leg and do a bit of muscle.

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.

Exceptional work, @dawnoner friend! Thanks for sharing! I certainly live in Venezuela, and here problems seem to grow on trees and fall on us without warning and with full force, so I understand and empathize with what you say in your post! I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery and hope solutions to everything come your way as soon as possible. Walking is good, taking photos is good, but exercising our creativity as you do is even better! Thanks for being here!

The very bad political and social climate here in France (rise of fascism, crisis of social work, laws against culture...) is hard to believe in the country of "Human Rights". It's like a nightmare but it's the true and cold reality. It causes anxiety, pain and sadness.
I'm a social worker and I'm about to look for a job in another field because I lost faith in it.

You're totally right, physical exercise and art are the best ways for me to recover, physically and mentally.

Thanks for your support @jlinaresp πŸ™
