Feel Good | Garden- invasive & unwanted; a gallery of defiance | Phone Photography-70
My garden is now with full of invasive weeds, unwanted plants, slowly trying to blur the prominence of important plants. Heavy rains in the last couple of weeks have accelerated their growth. I captured a few shots once the rain ceased.
Today, I did not try to amplify the beauty of important and desirable plants. Rather, I seek to explore the beauty in the unwanted. The raindrops on the petals and leaves after the rain are breathing and swaying to and fro upon the leaves in reverence to the storm's passing.
The invasive and unwanted plants always thrive in quiet rebellion. They do not seek attention. They wait for their turn and a conducive time to grow. They may not be the darling of the garden, but they have their presence.
The invasive weed, or the algae, fungi, remain as the trespasser, and they stand resolute to spread into the garden. At times, I seek to become an observer of the garden and witness this interplay of important and unimportant ones. Photographic artistry recognizes all sorts of creation of a garden; it does not discriminate between the types.
The reflection of a garden tells us not to judge it, and not to grade it and sort, but rather just see it, observe it, find the stillness in this garden with a comprehensive lens where every type is accommodated, just like a jungle.
The rain has kissed every petal of leaves; the drops upon the petal quivering, and the observe is capturing the mindful moments.
For a gardener, the invasive weeds might sound like "stealing space from the worthy,"; but for an artist, it's a subject at par with the worthy. The artist could catch the whispering of persistence, recognizing its refusal to be eradicated from the garden. Put simply a mindful observer sees beauty that persists against the odds.
The unwanted weeds are a gallery of defiance. A gardener may not like it, but we need to learn nature's method of survival; we need to learn from the raindrops that reflect impartiality. They may sound like outcasts of Garden, but they thrive despite not having approval. Let's appreciate and redefine the concept of beauty that is "raw, unwanted, chaotic, yet alive".
To be continued.........
Thank you.
