Sewing Room cat

His Majesty, Crown Prince Tommy of Assholia is a deep mystery.
If I come over when he is in the above position, just wanting to stroke or nuzzle Him, inevitably He will end up hissing at me, biting and scratching the hand that feeds Him.

If, while He looks SO damned adorable sleeping on my bed, and I reach down to stroke or caress, He will tolerate it for a short time, But He will end up biting and scratching, eventually exiting my bed (He has taken to sleeping on the floor NEXT to my bed as if on guard duty)
But just as sure as I breath, let me go from being bitten and chewed upon, then go directly to sit on the potty, and He comes and rolls around my feet purring madly


This morning, I went to my sewing room and started working on hemming some pants (had better success this time too!) and I developed an audience!

I am just His Humble Servant it seems.

I have vibes of kittens on my back when I see cat posts and photos. I say this in a positive way mind you. It's a memory... and I do so love to remember. When I was a young kid, I walked around with kittens on my back. Inevitably, a dog always seemed to show up. So... they had claws... you know lolol. Anyway... I still love cats. My stepdaughter has that Siamese cat named Gizmo... He is a turd. Anyway... this is a fantastic post brother. Hope you managed to get away unscathed... while not sewing your finger into your pants lol...

When still in grade school, a friend had several Siamese (when one grew too old and died, they got a replacement and named it the same as the last one: CHAN)
If I made a claw of my hand, and slowly approached any of those iterations of Chan, first ears would flatten, then the crouch, then the damned cat would spring, wrap itself around my forearm and start kicking.
Didn't matter that it had to leap over 3 ft to reach my arm neither....ah... what fun

I have a poor sense of self-preservation when it comes to cats like that. "Oh, you wanna be feisty? I know where the first aid supplies are, so you get struggle snuggles, Mr./Ms. Asshole McBiteyClaws!"

We have a cat with similar habits. She'll act all nice and purry and snuggly and then haul off and either bite or scratch. I really don't like her very much, yet she insists on hanging out on my bed if I am reading there. I boot her out of the room at night, lest she decide to walk on me in the wee hours.

His Majesty is never really cuddly, He will allow, even ask me to pet, scratch or rub Him certain times, but mostly not.
I would love it if He would sleep CLOSER to me while He is on my bed, but He eventually grows tired of me trying to reach him and will get down, for a long time He would stay on the floor next to my bed so I had to be wary of stepping on Him, but He has now developed the habit of sleeping UNDER my bed, reaching out to "tag" me as I get up or walk past.
