Vacation in the Balearic Islands in Minorca (Part 16)

This morning, we decided to take a good walk to see the Artrutx Lighthouse. The walk is invigorating and allows us to admire the dance of the waves crashing against the rocks.

The Cap d'Artrutx Lighthouse, located at the southwestern tip of the island of Menorca, was built in 1859 and is one of the most iconic on the island. It stands out with its 34-meter-high cylindrical tower, painted white with black stripes, giving it an elegant and recognizable appearance.

Ce matin nous avons décidé de faire une bonne marche pour aller voir le phare d'Artrutx. La promenade est vivifiante et nous permet d'admirer le ballet des vagues qui viennent se fracasser sur les rochers.

Le phare du Cap d'Artrutx, situé à l'extrémité sud-ouest de l'île de Minorque, a été construit en 1859 et est l'un des plus emblématiques de l'île. Il se distingue par sa tour cylindrique de 34 mètres de hauteur, peinte en blanc avec des bandes noires, ce qui lui donne une allure élégante et reconnaissable.

A consistently captivating sight is that of waves crashing against the rocks.
Un spectacle toujours attirant que celui des vagues s'écrasant sur les rochers.

At the foot of the lighthouse, the small restaurant where you can admire the sunsets over the Mediterranean.
Au pied du phare le petit restaurant d'où l'on peut admirer les couchers de soleil sur la Méditeranée.
